  1. On the mobile app trial it comes up with 3 options, option 2 costs about £35 but only gives you one user. Does that mean it will only work on one computer or can it still be accessed via phone, I pad and PC?
  2. I did look at it on the App Store, how does it compare? I like the idea of being able to do invoice quotes and receipts on the invoice2go. The prices seem to change as there are different prices for the same versions.
  3. From reading this thread, I've looked at and had a go with invoice to go, seems to be what I would want. For the people who have it, is there any way of backing up the quotes and invoices to computer as I would want to have a copy that isn't on "the cloud". Is the payment a one off? And can it be used when you are offline as well as online?
  4. Yes, when we can a nice pile of brash or log rings are good but I like the idea of something that can be put down on patio slabs or whatever and rolled up and moved when finished. Also saves clearing up lots of saw dust at the end of the job.
  5. Hi, Just wandering what people use for impact boards. I've been looking at some horse matts from countrywide 17mm thick, 4' x 6', the seem like they would take a fair bit of impact without being damaged. The only thing is they are fairly heavy. What other options are there out there that have been tried and tested by others on here? and where they can be purchased from. The horse matts where about £38 per Matt, and would only need one. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Yes, it's like that one but it's the model before that. How would I check the pressure, or is it best to leave it to someone who has the right stuff? Cheers for the replies Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Not sure on the make, it's from Rock machinery the 12t petrol one Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Ok so is that a replacement job or are there parts I can change? I will get on to the place I got it from if that's the case Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. That's something I will need to check. So the weight of the oil changes when it gets warm right? So if it's too thin, when it's warm it doesn't flow through with the highest pressure? I have topped it up, and it's seemed to be better, but I think it was because it had time to cool down. After a bit it lost all push again Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. By any chance would it make a difference to the hydraulic oil used. I can't remember what the stuff I have is called but it came from countrywide in a 5l tub. I've had a problem with air bubles in the oil before but changed the oil since and was working ok. By oil, are you referring to engine or hydraulic? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Hi, I have a small petrol log splitter which is about 2 years old. It's been working fine until now, the engine is still running as it should but after half hour of running (maybe more) the splitter ram looses all power. Is there anything obvious I should be looking for? It only seems to happen when it's warmed up. Cheers for any advise
  12. May be very obvious but seem to be struggling this morning. I was looking at hornbeam but I'm not convinced.

    New camera

Hi, I'm looking at getting a new camera at some point. I was having a browse and came across this and thought it looked cool. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras/digital-cameras/compact-digital-cameras/sony-dsc-qx10-lens-style-camera-for-smartphones-21735168-pdt.html Just wandered if anyone has one or used one, or can compare anything similar. I like the idea of being a separate unit as well as connecting to a phone for the display. Cheers
  14. Can someone clarity what a hinge bolt is? My outward opening door has to be fitted with a hinge bolt top and bottom. Not really sure what this means? My door hinges are covered and internal so can't be seen from the outside and I don't see how they can be locked from the outside without making a mess out of the door? Cheers for any comments Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Hi, Any help on this would be very helpful. I have to write a risk assessment for a job coming up to go along side the method statement which is already done. I have a copy of the generic risk assessment I think I found on here and also the one from the aa website. When writing one specifically for a job what should be included? The template I have covers the whole lot for arb work but should I just state and include what is going to be relevant to the job in hand or complete the full r/a and mark down n/a for the sections that do not apply?? Just thinking in terms of going through the whole lot may a bit pointless if most of it is not applicable. Thanks for any replies

  20. Just to add, working for a customer in chelt yesterday and a family member was a victim of theft recently. They said it was more of a planned and professional job as the house was secured to the max. All cars taken,(one being a Bentley) and bank cards the lot. All when they were asleep in the house. This just goes to show, nothing is safe, this must have been massive job, in fact I think 2 other houses were hit in the same night. This is getting too close for comfort, and more of a matter of when than if. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Is it too late to prune walnut now, as I am aware the preferred pruning time is mid summer. Cheers
  22. As standard procedure I check every address or site for tpo/ca but when it comes to development sites what's the best thing to do? I still intend checking the address so I have full conformation that the work being carried out has been accepted by LPA. Some developers that are applying for planning just give you the usual, get on with it and don't worry about it. What's the best way to go about this without causing trouble with ongoing planning and causing trouble for myself? In most cases when planning has been granted, I assume that trees are either tpo'd or felled and this is covered when it's been accepted? Any comments on this would be helpful Cheers

    Tipper back

Thanks, I spoke to service metals and they said it would be a good idea to line the inside of the cage with ally to stop chip and whatever else damaging the grp board and make it last longer. If I'm lining the board with ally plate, is there anything in a plastic sheeting that would do the same job, and cost less? The outside board, if protected by the ally plate would only really need to look good and be sign written. Has anyone else used any other types of plastic/PVC/foam board to line the outside do a tipper back? I am thinking this as it would reduce the weight? And possibly the cost?? Cheers again for the replies, Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. What's the best solution to killing off honey fungus on old stumps and areas where stumps have been ground out? I'm not sure on which type yet as I haven't seen them. The stump ground tree was infected with honey fungus and felled because of this. Could it spread to surrounding trees from this or will it just stay contained?
