Hi, I had a brief look for threads but couldn't find what I was looking for, I have an ally tipper bed with caged sides and want to board the sides up for signage to stop the chip flying through the mesh. Is it grp board that is used for board? Also looking at ally sheeting to bolt or rivet to it but I'm aware it will cost a lot more. Can anyone recommend somewhere for both in the midlands? Hi, can anyone recommend a good chipping container roof seal? The stuff on it is a rubbery paint seal that has cracked and started to leak, I've looked up what it's called and am I right in thinking is and elastomeric roof sealant?? Hi, I am aware of the many threads on here debating the different pickups and 4x4s, but I wanted to know of anyone who has the experience of a Nissan nivara king(the newer shape) cab tipper, with chip box. I currently run an ldv convoy and has been ok but is now costing quite a lot in repairs and not to mention the amount of welding. I'm sure it will rust itself to death in the next 6 months or so. I know there is a fair difference in the holding capacity, but was looking for some experienced owners/users to advise me in some pros and cons. Any big repair costs? I have thought about compensating the loss of space by getting a ifor tipper too. I spend most of the time on the road but most of our chip is unloaded on farm land, which has swayed me away from a purely front wheel drive van. Would it be a bad idea to down size vehicle? Out of interest, with larger amounts of tree work and management, how do people quote it? By the day and do it on day rate and state this in the quote or price for an entire job? If you price it by the day and provide a management schedule and duration, do people get an agreed contract signed to say they are to complete the entire schedule? Or how do others do it? Hi, just thought I'd add to the thread. Just finished my open water padi last weekend. Did it in a cold freshwater quarry, not much to see apart from some minnows and great crested newts but still absolutely loved it. I'm going to Croatia(split) the end of July and plan to do some diving there, nice clear and warmer water. Will be nice to wear a wetsuit instead of a dry suit. I have looked at a few places online, just wandered if anyone has been there or recommend anything. Bearing in mind I can only dive to 18m at the moment. Really looking forward to getting on the next dive, it feels very addictive!!

If you splice your own ropes, can a loler inspector pass it? Or will self spliced ropes be unfit for use if you arnt qualified? Basically I'm looking to lean from someone who knows how to but I don't think they are technically qualified? Thought I'd add a hungry tree, wouldn't want to be the one felling this in years to come, make a right old mess.

He doesn't charge for dumping, he mixes it into his muck heap from time to time and eventually spreads it. He just thought if it was worth doing as a byproduct.

I have been talking to a local farmer where we dump a couple of loads of wood chip, he mentioned about doing something with it, ie mulch and bag up in dumpy bags and sell when ready, or I mentioned getting it taken for biomass. Which is more suitable? We produce a small amount of chip each week depending on jobs and at the moment get rid where ever we can and where ever is closest. Is it worth taking it to the same place to put in a clamp and then load it up when we have enough? How long can the chip sit for before biomass companies won't take it. I know that it has to be clean and of good grade. Or would it be better to keep it and turn it into mulch and sell? If so, how is a better mulch made, do you mix in anything else? Does anyone know if you spray glyphosate on ground elder, it won't damage bulbs recently planted for next season?

Today we were taking down an old ash stem, knackard chains on 200t and 440, purchase a 660 for the main trunk and fell, can't bring myself to go near after finding these items in the tree.
