  1. Yes that would be good. I'm assuming it would be certified?
  2. It's Yale hedera, only used it today and knicked it with the silky, very annoying. So pretty much new
  3. Hi can anyone splice me some rope in glos area, or recommend someone who can?
  4. Looking for some western red to make roof shingles in the Ashbury Devon area, if anyone can help?
  5. Seems reasonable, is the sloe the same as the original? Do you have a contact for this?
  6. Old post, but what was the cost for a resole?
  7. Ah, I've sorted it, been through all the different formats with no luck. It came down to the title of the file name. The images I saved were named with reference to the TPO number which included a forward slash ( / ) within the reference number. I removed this from the file name and its uploaded fine
  8. Is that in the box above before selecting upload for a file? If so I did try that. What format did you use to upload?
  9. Hi, Since the new website change with the planning portal I have been unable to upload any supporting documents. I usually upload a PDF or JPEG file with a detailed image showing location of trees and properties, usually taken from Google Earth and street view. Does anyone have this problem or is there something that I am missing? Thanks

    Ms260 and Ms 026

Still looking to sell, before I stick on eBay?

    Ms260 and Ms 026

Ok, The 260 starts and runs but seems to rev up and down all over the place so cutting anything is a pain. It's had a piston (I think) but not a genuine one which was fitted at a garden machinery place along with a service. Not sure if it's easily fixed but decided to replace. The 026 doesn't start, couldn't get it to fire. Been sat for at least 6months. Both may be a simple fix, may be a bugger, but I don't have the knowledge or time to faf. Both saws are in the Cheltenham area

    Small airline

Just storage space and cost, it would end up being an expensive airline as the only use I have for the genny is to run the lights and occasionally charge or run a drill. I guess il just have to stick with the old paint brush for cleaning Cheers anyway all

    Small airline

No it's got to be off a generator as there is no option for mains. I was told that a compressor tank takes a lot of power to start up and that my generator doesn't have the power. Think it's 780W I did think along the lines of a pump, but wasn't sure if it would have enough force. Maybe il have a look at a few.

    Small airline

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get an airline for cleaning saws to run off a small generator. Or suggest something that might work. The size of generator is too small to power the smallest electric compressor as I've been told they need 5x the power to fill the tank. I'd want enough force to clear the crud from saws.
  17. Just something I've come across on a large sycamore tree being removed. As the timber gets bigger, cracks begin to open internally. You can feel them popping when cutting through with a saw. When you see the cut surface, some cracks are large enough to fit a pound coin in. My question is what causes it to crack? Is it to do with the timber under tension and this tension being released when cut and this happening because of the time of year? It may not happen in the summer? Thanks for any replies.

    Fungi find

Working near this failed ash tree today. Some serious decay at the point of failure. Am I right in thinking it all the pics are Perenniporia fraxinea?
  20. Is there a best time to clear rhody in a small 5acre woodland? I've had a look in the FC website and it mentions about chemical application of the stumps after clearing and the optimal time. Is this the only time factor to consider? I'd imagine all clearings will be burnt on site. Cheers

Found this on a silver maple, possible bark necrosis, and a few pockets of very soft rot. Could this photo possibly be kretzschmaria deusta? Also the stem No other FB around the base
  22. Back again, I thought I had this sorted but the drop site I had has fallen through. I'm coming from Gloucestershire, and will be travelling west from London. Anyone along that route able to take a load?

One on the floor from approx 1m on the main stem with a black stain where it was attached and another approx 4.5m with a stain and fb caught on lower branch. The colour has thrown me, my thought from the opened fb was aurantiporus fissilis but am unable to find any images that match in colour. Any help appreciated
