  1. Hi, Does anyone know if a church is exempt from a felling licence in the same way a residential property is? I will look it up, but wandered if anyone was up on this to save me time. Cheers
  2. There are some photos on another thread from a while back if you have a search. I have the battery stored on the inside back of the helmet with the control on the outside on the back. Speakers in the ear defenders with a notch taken out with a drill or file to allow for the wire. Tidy the wires up inside the helmet with small zip ties or tape
  3. What’s your plans for the directory? Will it be free to access? Or sign up? How many have you got around Cheltenham? Also interested to gain a few more in my area
  4. Had someone a year or so ago. Had to adjust our insurance which was nearly £100 for the week for them to be covered. Also had to adjust RA, which also had to be signed off by the parents and school for having someone under 18. Made sure the week was varied to give a good idea of the job, didn’t give any pay but gave them an Id book and pruning saw at the end of the week. Permission granted by the parents first obviously!!
  5. Timber is western red cedar and some Lawson Cypress
  6. Cheers for the offer but little bit far. I’m based in Cheltenham so ideally looking for something in between or not too far from Painswick
  7. Hi looking to tip a couple of loads of chip and couple loads of Timber in or near Painswick. GL6 area
  8. Hi looking to tip a couple of loads of chip and couple loads of Timber in or near Painswick. GL6 area
  9. Is anyone able to help with the hire of a remote control bank mulcher in Cheltenham? I have a site which is a disused railway bank that needs clearing. Not a massive job but quite a steep slope. Cheers
  10. Hi, Not sure if anyone can give me help here. Timberwolf 125ph - The chipper runs well on start up and for a while it’s as normal, but it’s recently been slowing down when chipping larger branches, as in the stress feed isn’t a quick when building back up from a pause. Again today, it’s chipping smaller branches ok, but after some time of chipping larger stuff, it slows again, and it’s as if the engine looses power. Run down, turn off and start again after a min or so it’s back to normal. I did think maybe a vapour lock or something to do with the fuel and the hot weather, but there isn’t a great seal on the tank cap, this is just due to being not the best fit from day one. Any ideas of where to start for this sort of thing? Fuel filter I guess would be worth changing. Could it be a problem with the stress feed control? - does this affect the engine revs? It usually goes in to the shop for service and repairs, so before I hand it over, I thought I’d see if there was a simple fault that anyone else has come across.
  11. That’s what I’ve got in the first diagram. But can’t seem to break it down any further
  12. I’ve read that the r is different to the t, and could only locate one circlip. Unless it’s very well hidden?
  13. Hi Trying to get the clutch drum and drive pinion off a hs81t I have removed the circlip and am struggling to get the pinion and clutch drum out. Are they threaded or will they press out?
  14. Got an oak that’s about 2ft at the union, recon it would need to be a powerful battery drill to get through it.
  15. Hi All. I wanted to see what people’s thoughts were on the best petrol drill for installing bracing rods. I’ve been looking at the Stihl BT 45 which seems to be the best option. What’s the maximum length drill bit it will power going through green wood? And is it up for the job? I have a couple of bracing jobs to do, and have looked into getting one on hire, but have struggled to find anywhere that has one. Is it worth trying to find a second hand one, or are they generally used and abused? Any other makes that are worth looking at? I did come across an attachment for a saw, thinking that it could be used on a larger engine unit for larger stuff, but without the reverse, thought it’s likely to get stuck easily. It’s not something that will have that much use, so wanted to do some research before buying a new one, and see what anyone’s experiences are. Cheers.
  16. Cheers for reply, good shout! I did manage to sort one out yesterday anyway, but thanks for the help.
  17. Hi, Anybody able to help or know of someone who would be able to hire out a cherry picker for tomorrow (Monday 30th July) for a morning in Cheltenham? My usual hire place is closed until the morning and would be unlikely to get something out for tomorrow. Vehicle mounted, or tracked, with or without operator, needs to have a good outreach. Any help much appreciated Cheers
  18. It’s not too bad, it’s more of a case of getting a machine down a bank on ramps, I don’t think I’d want to risk something heavy like a tracked machine getting stuck. It’s an end of a garden jobby and was looking for ways to reduce the drag to our chipper on the van.
  19. Cheers but has to be small due to access, know they have a tw13 but it is near useless. Looking for something that will efficiently chip for a day without slowing the job up.
  20. Hi, Does anyone know of where I can hire a small chipper like a greenmech cs100 or similar in Cheltenham? Not interested in the Timberwolf 13/75g as just wont do the job.
  21. Looking for a log and chip drop for tomorrow if anyone knows of anything
  22. Any idea on thickness or would thicker be better to guarantee a better seal?
