  1. I am snowed in.. been trying for past hour or so to get the Hilux out the drive and into the top flat parking space. Parked down at the house which is on a steep slope with a steep drive and lip. Only got 2 foot snow drifts on the drive but its the wrong type of snow to drive through. Not the grippy stuff. It just turns to butter and flour mix under wheel if any of you ken fit I mean I am going to have to shovel it all cya in 5 hours lol
  2. This is only 40 mins from mine Braemar Snowgates webcam
  3. Never thought about that Maybe I will spell it olly this time ... hmmm Ok skaters how do you spell it I call it a Bunny hop on my bike
  4. It is wild here! Schools closed for second day Gales + snow showers = snow art Some mental snow drifts in Aberdeenshire just now. I am going to brew some coffee and hike up the hill behind my house with snowboard and shovel and get creative Once I have dug out the bunnies and chickens and fed and watered them! Along with all the wild birds. Wonder if I can ollie the farmers sheep
  5. I can work with stoners/tokers on the condition they keep it for after works I would rather not work with boozers. I absolutely can not work with chemheads (smack, coke and so on) Drugs at work as a full on NO in my books. Some really crazy stories in here from folks, I was shocked at some of it. I just kept shouting "how, eh, wtf, sack the bas"£$d, ill take his job" mind blowing what some of you had to put up with. from my experiences. Stoners are a right pain to work with if they are smoking on the job but they can graft like navies when they get in the zone! Boozers.. (not weekend drinkers) unreliable, hostile and very dangerous. Crazy mood swings. I have lost large tree planting contracts when a tree planter I was trying out arrived on site still bleezing and punched out the forester Chemheads... yikes. these poor kids need help. There is no place in arb/forestry for these poor misguided souls. work with them at your own risk! I will never again! Totally unfit for work in any regard. the loss of production and downtime caused by booze is quite shocking though! Caused me more grief in the workplace than anything else.
  6. lmao that is well messed up ! Cert 18 garden lol
  7. Yeah I was bugged at the lack of a reference back to the original study as well!
  8. Brilliant! I want it now many thanks for the reply mucker
  9. Not as deep as that Norway one but for Scotland I think it is nae bad Looking again at the Norway photo I think that is actually a photo from Japan. Corgarf to Tomintoul in 2010
  10. Nice find that Kieran! Cheers for sharing Brilliant price!
  11. hahaha well I went from about 3 inches snow cover to about 12 inches over night with drifts over 5 foot in places. Still very poor show for my area. We normally get 2-4 foot even cover with drifts anywhere up to about 30feet, depending how the terrain lies and was filled. Looking like it could all just thaw in a moment though! Gone wetter. No longer powder snow.
  12. Well if that happens then it is worth ten times the cost lol
  13. Ahh it is a military jacket I am looking at and hinted at above. Seems perfect in every way for tree cutting. Including wearing a harness Helikon Black Gunfighter Soft Shell Jacket
  14. Just sharing what I thought was an interesting article. Go easy on me if it has been shared all ready Tree physics limits height and leaf size, study shows :: UC Davis News & Information
  15. Cool thanks VEG appreciate that mate!
  16. Did that get an answer or not ? I would love to know the reason as well. I am looking at a jacket similar to cut and climb but half the expense.
  17. Excellent Trees + photography = bliss
  18. Wow I never gave the jimmy a thought due to the mk1 Rhino that was a bit of a disaster. Actually I never looked at suzukis again I will be looking at them from now on! I need a second motor as well. I had one of the Lada's for tree planting. Now that was a great motor!
  19. Silky saws have your back on this and add in an Arbor trolly and your all set I think what your doing is spot on!
  20. About 2cm here fresh snow. It is pure powder and blowing and drifting in the winds that have returned. All the Scottish Ski centers are desperate for snow. This has so far been a very mild and wet winter. Not a lot of diff to the summer we had with similar temps. S.A.D anyone lol ?
  21. It has done the opposite of the forecast and jumped up in temps by about 10 degrees so it is now more like 0 - +3 degrees. The snow is heavy and wet now and no longer all powder and sparkly shinny crystals. Still no wind! I am not convinced we are getting blizzards and masses of snow tomorrow now This is the trend of this winter.
  22. That is one of the things I think the Contour helmet cams do very well. The helmet mount that is. I find it hard to talk in here now with out it sounding a bit "carry on helmetcams" tooo many innuendos pop in my head From Contour's product info: 360 Helmet Mount Rotate and tilt your Contour camera to get the perfect shot. The 360º Helmet Mount allows you to get that over top, reverse, side, or any angle you desire. Built for helmets of all kinds: mountain bike, motocross, kayak, snowboard, ski and more. The 3M adhesive base is compact yet provides a solid base to keep things steady and the easy-to-use lever allows for quick adjustment. For best fit with your waterproof case we recommend purchasing the Surfboard Mount. Would really be great to get one of each sent to Arbtalk from the manu/distro so we can then find out for real which is the better one for Arb and why!
  23. Andy that is nice and cold again mate was nae to far off that here where I am, which is not very far away from Tomintoul and The Lecht Ski center. No winds this week has been great though, house does not loose heat quite so fast We need this sharp deep freeze of a cold so long as it is the dry ice type which sucks all moisture out of everything
  24. Did I really say that LOL I am going to wait and see what Contour bring out next.
  25. Winter is back
