  2. That is the only way of increasing rates, why should a tree surgeon earn less than a plumber or an electrician? We have more kit and invest more money than both of the other professions. Tree work is also recognised as being one of the more dangerous occupations.
  3. I fully agree, we need to professionalise the domestic tree market but don't know how we would achieve that objective.

  11. I am currently doing a teaching course PTTLs (Preparing to teach in lifelong learning sector) as we deliver some training courses and my dad has a teaching degree.

  16. Your friend will be liable for any costs incurred as a result of removing the tree from the highway. The local authority will normally give you the opportunity to arrange for a contractor of your choice (due to them being correctly qualified and insured) to remove it or you can ask for the council to do the work on your behalf i.e. either using their own staff or one of there preferred contractors.

  19. If you don't already have a website, then invest the money you would spend with yp getting a professional website with good search engine optimisation. A good website is a better investment in your business than any YP advert.
