  5. BBC News - Somerset case of ash dieback confirmed Looks like its spread to Somerset. Not 3 miles from me either.
  6. Recently I've been working on a small community woodland. One of my latest jobs was to clean out a stream that was full of silt and builders debris. There was no access for a mini digger so it had to be done by hand. I got about half of it done then had to go to Kent for a wedding. Lo and behold, when I got home this evening A cheque was waiting for me along with a note thanking me for completion of the job. It turns out that due to all this flood water the rubbish has been blasted along the stream and off into the river system. Made my day ^^
  7. I did a few jobs for the local parish council earlier in the year. What was priced as a 2 day job ended up taking 4. Happy days -.-

  10. Well I'm moving to Kent in the next month or so, so I'm not too fussed. This is the first time in 50 years my house has even got damp. It's really not an issue
  11. After borrowing a small waterpump and a wet and dry vacuum cleaner, my workshop is now nice and dry. None of our stock has been damaged and my job tomorrow morning is to clear the grime off the walls. On a related note, as a hobby I've been selling military surplus for about a yearnow. I'll put up full product lists tomorrow.
