  1. One I was involved with planting at Moulton college and the other one is in Bedgbury pinetum.
  2. Pretty rare, I have seen two,'Gold rush 'I think.
  3. I have had a good look at it and seems ok, very odd. But three times is too many for me, must be faulty imo. I will have to get someone more qualified than me to have a look and get in touch with the supplier. It has happened and could be a big prob.
  4. I 've been using mine for two months now and like it, but have had my right hand leg loop pop open three times now, twice up the same tree; which shouldn't happen surely? Anyway all I can guess is that my flipline and tool strop have caught the catch. Has anyone else had similar experience or have I got a dodgy clip on my leg loop??
  5. Gretton brook road traveller site(middle age travellers),I am sure they would gladly take it,it is on the way to gretton.
  6. I lived in a 16c farm house, had rats, got a cat, problem solved. I think they have a place. I also had tree creepers, lesser spotted peckers etc. I do agree that they are a problem though.
  7. I quite like Bonzais(mutate and survive)
  8. I think the way forward is to plan new developments with trees as part of the original planning including the ones that are there already(of course). Surely we need to be putting in foundations with planting plans included. Ok I am a dreamer, but is it really that difficult, architects need to take a step forward in the way they look at things(not all of them). This would also provide lots more work for all of us:thumbup1:.sorry if I drifted away from the thread.
  9. If I had my way every town would have an arboretum in its streets, with careful planning, as in suitable species for what went where of course.
  10. Ginko, ornamental pear and apple and fox glove (Paulownia tomentosa),are all good imo, just for a start.
  11. One day is just a taster, I see something I have missed on every visit:thumbup: the Ginko and weeping Beech are just a couple of my favourites aswell as the ones that Paul has already mentioned.
  12. I had the injector pump go on mine,a very common fault with duratorque engines.Hopefully not this with yours as it cost about a grand to fix.
  13. Experienced climber with all needed tickets and kit. I have just moved into the area, left behind regular work. Please PM me if anyone interested. Rupert
  14. We used to have this problem all the time.I worked with a friend as the tree gang of a large landscape, maintenance firm and were running a tracked and towable chipper which sometimes went out with the maintenance boys, every time it was used by any one but us this happened. There was a lot of shouting in the shed but they still could not get it. Very annoying and costly.Retards:thumbdown:
  15. Hello AM, We will need to see one in action before we spend out,but we are near Cheltenham,so a long way to travel. What wood are you intending to use? We are intending just building wood. We are in early stages at the moment but would be very interested in any feedback. Thanks Rupert
  16. thanks John, will keep looking at options. Rupert
  17. Thanks for your advice John, will look into this further, we are not going to be rushing into anything. Can you recommend any other machines? ta Rupert.
  18. Has anybody had any dealings with Northern energy systems. Thinking of buying large press hammer mill combo, diesel model but any other alternatives or advice welcome. This would mainly be for carpentry waste. thanks in advance Rupert

  20. Just before me Matt, but that's a vote of two, bark would have helped a bit.
  21. A lot of people round the world do not have this luxury, I live in a shed and look like a tramp, but still go to work:biggrin:
