  1. I found him on the bay too.. He sells new body casings for Old & New Saws.. Handy guy to make contact with[emoji6]
  2. Ebay is pretty good, (International Search is best),, (Hyway Cylinders & Kits are pretty well made),, LilRedBarn.com Based in States,, Facebook: Husqvarna Fans Page,, Chainsaw Parts & Sales - USA,, Canada & Australia (CD Range slowly making a bit of noise for Collectors & Millers again [emoji869][emoji41][emoji869]) Especially helps source parts if you Know the Year & Can find the OEM Part Number/Updated Replacement Part Number.. Ereplacementparts.com Happy Hunting [emoji106]
  3. That looks the Nutz, Lazurus.!! Very Good Looking & Controlled Looking Fractals bud.. as said already.. Top class job buddy [emoji106]

    Burgled

Sorry to read of your bad news Mark. You don't deserve the bad luck streak. Wish you well & a prosperous new beginning.
  6. Burn on the Left is Shallow more Fractals, Burn on the Right went Deeper .. with less Fractals Learning something new each time. [emoji106]
  7. Thanks Conor.. I've done more to the Middle today, but am letting it dry before sanding it after work 2mrw. Am always thinking of how to make it 'safer' & if any,, 'safer operator usage' .. Think my variation of ppe & pair of lil upgrades helped with that today,, Don't feel like I'm buzzing or itchy skin after same amount of time using it, as I did the other day. I've definitely sussed how to get deeper/shallower burns from Steel Nails now though.
  8. After this post & a convo with OSpaceM.. & GobbyP I Couldn't help myself this evening so had a Tinker again with mine,, Adding a new feature to the set up.. Also wearing a DiY Variation of PPE.. Had to have another burn on the same slab..
  9. Have to agree with OSpaceMan in our PMz.. A Foot Operated Switch.. No Thanks.!! [emoji1] Standing/Sitting On what may as well be an APM doesn't seem right to us. Liquids, Floors,, HVoltage [emoji848].. [emoji1]
  10. That's a Nice looking kit.. But surely the point IS the Transformer.. Otherwise its still putting people at risk to get the Trannie in the first place.?. Or buy one New from somewhere.? Typical of the States to sell a Product thats Banned there though.. Kinda like Grenfells Cladding Insulation Incident [emoji848] ..
  11. As for the A, Beta, G.. I dont know much about that except School Lessons,, & Didn't wanna even chance it once I saw that Sticker .. (Hesitated for a couple days before I built the Box to be honest). For the distance I was away from it when it was turned on.. 10ft or so .. or on the other side of the window about 6ft away .. It felt Wrong .. Just shy of an hour into it, skin felt kinda,, 'Tingly' .. So packed it up & this is what came out the other end. Reducing Exposure.. Is supposed to be a way forward in Safer Use,, And I'm all for that [emoji1][emoji106] 'Dirty Electricity' is just dangerous as.. & after everything learnt at school & college,, forgotten & rekindling,, this isn't something I'd like to do on a regular basis OSpaceM.. but more of an ongoing experiment with myself as the Ginnie Pig.. even though the pig usually gets roasted [emoji2]. .. Next attempt will be on more pine but 2" thicker slab.. Sharpened rods & other bits & bobs chucked on... "Can I Do It, Safer.?" Is the only thing I'm looking at at the mo.
  12. The idea behind the 'Safer Usage' .. Not tested it in ways of output, milliamps or any other so far bud.. but yes, Amperage kills = destroys matter etc.. Not trying to get people's brains ticking into trying to make one here either Spaceman, so trying to avoid going into details liiiike & purposely haven't stated what I've used .. Hope you understand why dude.. PM me though bud.. I had, now expired,, certs in Electronic & Electrical Installation,, Rules & Regs -16th edit .. to NVQ Lvl 2,, but this is still new learning to me, .. I know what your saying about the safety features too dude & will be adding a couple more but am in no rush either.. Knowing my luck I'll miss something & that be that... brown bread..
  13. Thought that's how it creates/activates the waves to cook from.? (Magnetron.?) Either way.. Weren't gonna touch it even.. Warning Sticker said 'Radiation', As well as the vid I watched,, that's all I had to see .. [emoji1] .. Wiring was the easy bit. Yes, Its the Volts that burns n amps av a job.. thought that was common sense.. getting to know the burn times of this slab was a challenge.. (Less-More Resistance in places through the plank) ,, It even started a new burn in a random place I didn't want. Its sketchy as hell, So until I try make it Safer.. I'm not gonna play about with it til then.. Til then, It's more about trying to Control the burn,, Timing & Safety.. Also didn't want it Arcing.. So had small timed burns.. (8sec .. 13.. 15..). 58mins I'm not a Rocket Scientist by any means.. Probably pushin insanity to try this [emoji1].. But I have some pretty smart mates too,, smart friends that's Now, Interested in helping on the improvements. (Divs waited to see if I cremated myself I'm sure of it [emoji1] )
  14. Magnetron not Megatron [emoji1].. My era was the Cartoon Version[emoji106].. Magnetron is the Radioactive Component of a MW. Which is usually Right Above / Next to the Transformer.
  15. Hey Lazurus.. There is apparently,, But I haven't looked into it.. Nor would I trust one without Seeing it Built for Myself.. Thing with Microwaves is, Unless you have a Geiger Counter.. The risk of Radiation Is MASSIVE.!!!
  16. I worked at Bulmers in Hereford for a short Spell whilst at Holme Lacy.. A Silo'z Pressure Valve Failed to Open n Blew the 18" Insulated Steam Pipe to Smithereens, Took a 19stne guy off his feet,, He went into Shock, Balled his eyes out for 15mins after,, Then quit from his 14yr job.. My Foster Dad (Sean O'Connor), was a Hydraulic Specialist Engineer Dude.. He was a Biiig 21stne Guy,, Saw him get Blown about 9ft from the Plant he was working on,, Just releasing a Pressure Valve that had Vacuumed Itself (How he held on to it I'll never know) .. So yeah,, Totally Agree with You on Pressurised Gizmo's bud. When my Box is 'Safer' (Not Risk Free),, only 'Safer' .. I'll do a Big Burn on some Thicker Bitz.. This was just a Practice Set Up.. on a 1" Scots Pine Slab.. I do, Have a Rough Set of 3" Slabs to Work on soon,, For a River Table Top. I'll Upload a vid of Thicker Stuff soon. Haven't had much time to play with my wood lately though [emoji52]
  17. LastNight I was just Treating & Going for the Burn Ratman.. My thought process was to leave the Solution On, for as long as my patience would allow.. (About 5-10minz between each burn).. Good Question though.. As now I'm thinking to try The Burn, Sand, Repeat Method.. Keeping the dust to a Minimum Incase it "Flash Overs" .. / .. Purposely Use the Dust to Burn Deeper.?? I used 4" Steel Nails for my Rods.. As Can't Test what the Output Is Yet.. So wanted, Some, Resistance.. Will Upgrade My Box within The Next Week,, Coz the EMFz coming off of it felt pure, WRONG.!! .. For a Speedy Start to making a Lightening Box,, I used a Trip Extension Cable.. Looooaaads Of Shrink Wrap & Electrical Tape.. & Wore Gloves @ All Times .. Even 10minz AFTER it was Switched OFF.. to move the Rods. Will Upgrade My Box before Next Use,, As I was 'Buzzing' for 2hrs After I'd finished.!!!. (THIS IS NOT A JOKE !!! .. F*** This Up & It WILL, KILL YOU.!!!) Left to Dry over night.. n very very quickly Sanded it this morning.
  18. Hi Mark.. Great Looking Mirror.. Bloomin Dangerous though ay.!!! I hear doing Demos of these are Illegal.. (Not sure about UK, Probable.., But deffo are in America) .. I've made a Lightening Box yesterday & It needs Tweaking .. The EMF'z coming off of it left me Buzzing n Tingling for 2hrs after Burning.. Though I touched it rarely,, ONLY when turned it off for 10minz.. PM me n I'll tell you a few ways to make Ours Safer.. & .. ( I'll show you mine if you show me yours Mark.? [emoji6] ) [emoji106]
  19. Anyone have a Stem they want Slabbed in the Cooler Weather.? I'm thinking to Charge a Standard Booking Fee, Then an Hourly Rate (Depending on the Size of Stem & Time Needed on Site) Can Mill Up To 36" - Max Diameter Logs on the 42" Alaskan at the Moment. (as I can get digs easy) Areas I Would Prefer to Cover: (England) Hereford & London (Surrounding Areas) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (Wales) Cardiff, Newport & Torfaen. (Surrounding Areas) I would Preferably like Weekend Bookings,, But I am willing to be flexible with this. Thanks Arbtalk
