  1. That would be best obviously but just not possible, I need to demo it also
  2. Again fair point Eggs but it's all about trying to limit exposure
  3. Fair point Steve but my thinking is that anyone running their own kit would fully understand
  4. 45 mins reading Arbtalk, 2 hours decoding Jon's posts
  5. It's not really possible to move it unfortunately
  6. It's too big to move elsewhere unfortunately Jon
  7. Something I was mulling over.. I have people coming to view bit of heavy equipment I have for sale, it's located at yard which has other equipment on site. Something I was thinking of doing was sending text in morning saying that before coming to yard do you agree to vehicle, person and photo ID being photographed? I'm sure they're genuine but given rate of kit/machine thefts what better way to case a yard than to visit beforehand in daylight. Any thoughts and would you be offended if someone asked that?
  8. Adw - can dealer program owners name into auto tune at time of sale? Thanks
  9. How would it be tracking over brash and stumps, what clearance is on those things?
  10. [ame] [/ame] matbro/patu That was one I saw at Caledonian few months ago
  11. Can't say for sure but some harvesters were fitted to Matbros. Caledonian had one with kesla head
  12. Not sure which splitter you mean- the blue splitter above looks like has electric motor though I'm sure will be available with hydraulic options. Our 30t splitter has pto driven pump and tank.
  13. Plus one on the bureaucrats and red tape
  14. I think you're missing the point felix. To try explain briefly.. A couple centuries ago Christians were one of violent/cruellest religions going (inquisition for example), it's evolved though and the bible is no longer taken literally by majority of Christians. The difference is the majority of Muslims still believe their book is the true word and that the culture it promotes should overrule all. Hence the push to establish Sharia law. Here's couple of quotes from previous head of Muslim council of Britain.. "On Salman Rushdie "Death, perhaps, is a bit too easy for him his mind must be tormented for the rest of his life unless he asks for forgiveness to Almighty Allah.” homosexuality is "not acceptable", same-sex civil partnerships are "harmful"" I'm not a fan of Rushdie nor am I fussed if gays want to marry, each to their own. That's not the way Muslims see things though, you live as their book demands or face the consequences, that is not compatible with western values so as I said earlier this is going to be an ongoing issue
  15. Article I sourced stats from was in the guardian of all places Read it few days ago and can't be arsed looking for it
  16. Yes nutters are nutters and they'll always find a cause to latch onto. However the difference is one religion has at its core the belief that all non believers are inferior and if won't convert deserve death, that's why they're are something like 5 Islamic terrorist attacks per day. Look at the butchery going on in Africa in the name of a religion, most religions left that behind several centuries ago Something like 66% of one religion believe sharia law should be applied and override UK law, those beliefs of the majority followers of that religion coupled with the point above is why this isn't going away anytime soon.
  17. Some interesting pics in Forestmachineoperatorsjobs page on facebook - tree head through a harvester cabin, looks a close one
  18. No they'll be lying in bed like like any other day
  19. Old firm is tame these days! Besides, they all go to work together on Monday once sober! Was a post really pulled for naming the other religion??
  20. I just don't want the kalishnikov and grenade squad round my door for being a dissenter! (Easy to laugh behind a keyboard) Edit: and bear in mind it's the loonies that resort to violence but they're only actioning what their book says and what the rest believe but wouldn't get physical about.
  21. I'm no expert but it seems the other religion is a few hundred years behind Christianity which also burned the dissenters at the stake. The other religion though has at its core a well documented belief that the faith must be spread at all costs and convert or die, non believers are infidels not worthy of life. When polls show that majority of followers believe that rules of their faith should be adhered to and enforced that is where the problems start, we're not all operating from the belief that all should have a right to live a life of free will.
  22. I used google translate and largely came out gibberish, think I got the gist though that speak your mind but never force opinions upon others. Agree with that (My girlfriend is native French speaker but didn't want to get her to translate in case was nonsense!)
  23. I can't listen to your link unfortunately via app, I'm sure there's plenty of "when I were a lad" though! The poster trying to clear wood odds and ends from yard is prime example of why firewood will always have beer money guys processing loads on the side.
  24. Midges take up enough space to literally drive you insane, nasty little things altogether! People perceive fascism as "right wing" but all "fascist" regimes experienced by Europe have been driven by extreme "left wing" big state ideology. Islamic ideology with it's beliefs that women shouldn't drive, have no rights, stone adulterers, hang the gays, lash/imprison/hang the dissenters etc etc is completely different from fascism, whatever definition you apply to the latter.
  25. Given all the reforms we keep getting told about I don't understand why we don't go back to way we did education 40 years ago, seemed to work well and be ahead of rest of world. I've had graduates join company and their standard of basic English is shocking, the foreigners we deal with can speak and write English better as their second or third language.
