Quantities available will vary through the year depending on job, was getting £40p/t roadside in 2014 so looking for similar. Softwood available too, usually some windblow in the mix so nice and dry, again can be cut to required length, roadside price will vary depending if bone dry blow or still green. Looking to build long term trading relationship with serious player, no tyre kickers please, payment before uplift. 7. I don't understand what half those hoses are doing, there's hoses going up outside rear of cab on the left and on the right. ..There's hoses going up inside of cab
  8. About 5 years ago I got new boiler stove, new oil boiler, accumulator tank and all installed for under 10k. I sourced the stove myself and the plumber didn't fleece me on boiler etc. I went for accumulator tank as growing up with space heating stoves I always found it was feast or famine - either it's out or house was roasting. The tank lets me keep a store of hot water, the downside is oil boiler isn't a combi. There is adjustable thermostat on tank and once up to temp the pumps kick in automatically and circulate so that doesn't boil over.
  9. Haven't read all thread so apologies if been covered: in early nineties I worked in construction and the firm recruited the apprentice then sent them to college, few weeks at a time first year then day release second year. The practical work learning and college stuff worked hand in hand
  10. Only major difference between oil and gas in my experience is oil is marginally more expensive and you have to take hit of filling tank in one go. My current system is oil boiler outside coupled with boiler stove inside and accumalator tank in attic. Both systems work well on their own though usually I have stove on so use very little oil.
  11. They're not secure as such but depending on your location what can help is the noise made getting through them. Company I worked for twice had them attacked with stihl saws but we were located in industrial site where other units had night watchmen, both times they heard the noise and knew someone was getting done over and called the police. One of the security guys actually went out and made himself visible so that criminals knew they'd been spotted. 3rd time the warehouse got done over they smashed in through the brick back wall and emptied the shelves right up to area where the alarm sensors began, obviously an inside job.
  12. What diameter can the tafjun do Ben?
  13. Deal in export markets for spirits, that's what pays for my forestry habit
  14. Hello, I'm going to rewire crane electrics on my Osa 250 but instead of refurbishing isp card/boxes and existing levers I was thinking of changing to new levers with integrated adjustable ramp/speed. Something like this: http://www.mascus.co.uk/forestry/used-electronics/icm-435-icm-425-styrspakar-timberjack-mini-brunett-rottne-ponsee/pmphuoxj.html This should give me far simpler wiring. Anyone ever used them or foresee any issues with what I'm proposing? Thanks for any input
  15. I googled this out of interest, can't say below is accurate... Lawful and Legal are 2 totally different things. Lawful/Law is Common Law (some call it Gods Law). The primary principle being one should not cause Lose, Harm or Injury. Acts/Statutes are created by Parliament or local authorities, they however ARE NOT law. 16. Yes there's obviously an incentive to exaggerate losses if a compen scheme in place.

Kind of person that is badly missed these days. Anyway first thing he said was "don't tell the f@cking hospital what really happened or we'll all be up to eyes in paperwork and reports" !
  19. I assumed he was helping neighbour in expectation that neighbour would return help in due course. Like it used to be before a multitude of regs
  20. Would you really? If it's two owner occupiers working together then most of above doesn't apply
  21. Splitting force is weakened and more likely to get "splinters". What splitting force is the ram?
  22. I didn't really read it in detail but I would say lambs seem to be a high percentage of identifiable prey. Of course it depends who was doing the counting also, was it a SNH study? Bear in mind it was a trial too, if they roll out cameras to more nests then they will obviously get more data. "A camera study set up in the Lorn area of Argyll to determine what the eagles were eating found that the birds brought eight or nine lambs back to the nest, and just seven fish. Nearly 7,000 images were taken of the nest during the breeding season earlier this year using motion sensitive cameras. The study, carried out under a Scottish Natural Heritage licence, recorded 117 prey items being taken to the nest between January and July, nearly 70 of which were unidentifiable. A total of 21 mammals were identified, as well as 14 birds, seven fish and a number of lambs."

  24. I'm genuinely interested - why are you so concerned with what someone else is doing? Is it impacting on you or, and I mean no offence, are you just being a busybody?
