  1. Ha ha yet another windows user making comments to justify why they don't have a mac. In 3yrs of being all Apple I have never had a blue screen issue, never had a virus, never had to replace a drive. As I said earlier, they just work!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. 'don't even take them away, round here , they just get dumped in a ditch to burn or rot'. Really? Does that really happen or just more lies peddled by the RSPCA/RSPB? I was under the impression that game dealers paid money for game?? Personally I think what you did was a complete waste of money. Taxpayers or developers. Should the developers been allowed to build on the site (assuming its green field?), well thats a different story!
  3. Go apple mate, it just works. Everything else just works sometimes!! However the sony stuff looks interesting, waterproof/dustproof/robust, and supposedly the best camera ever.
  4. I had my Foreman over with a flail on the back, the flail came past me, jackknifed the quad and the whole lot went over. Luckily I had time to bail out! The thought of the flail coming over focuses the mind!! Managed to get it back obver but sorting out the hitch was a proper bitch.
  5. Well said!
  6. How slopey is your land? Quads and slopes don't mix too well. IMHO. Alpine all the way.
  7. Good luck Pete and all the best for the future. 'One closes and another opens'!!
  8. But it's only a recommendation. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. I think it's a recommendation not HSE law? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. As far as I'm aware you can't buy field dressings, celox or tourniquet in a chemist. eBay cheapest place. But without training..... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. I have Aspirin in mine, headaches, hangovers and heart attack! ;-) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Because if you get a big bleed ie saw bite you won't have time to get down! Immediate first aid is exactly that...preserve life. Chemists primarily sell first aid kits to treat small cuts and bruises, headaches etc. The sort of injury that your personal kit should be able to deal with is a catastrophic injury (ie life threatening). If its not then get down and use the one in the vehicle.
  13. Better to make something up yourself. As Andy Mac said get at least 1 FFD or even better two. Also a CAT Tourniquet and a Celox type of dressing. Then get some training on how to use them! That's everything you need to stop a catastrophic bleed until the emergency service arrives. Things like plasters and aspirin can be kept in your vehicle med kit.
  14. This is the sort of public information that should be available to all, thought the BBC was supposed to pass this sort of thing on, thats one of the excuses they give when challenged about the licence fee!
  15. Just found out some interesting facts about using 112 instead of 999 to dial emergency services. Basically 112 allows you to use any network from your phone and will even override a busy network! Good to know when the blood hits the fan!! Short video to explain, well worth a watch..
  16. And most importantly...Surface!
  17. Late in cold damp West Devon, but still stunning!!
  18. Their out!
  19. Thanks for all the advice, think I'll go with the Echo. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Ha Yeah looking back wasn't the nicest place but probably better than now. I lived in Greenfields Rd off meath green. My m8 farmed at Landens. Happy Days!
  21. These beam alarms look like exactly what you want. They can be used the either trigger a bell or flashing light or even send a SMS message etc. Bit pricey at £230! There are others on eBay cheaper. http://www.alarmsforfarms.com/active-solar-gateway-alarm-with-dialler-140-p.asp http://www.alarmsforfarms.com/ekmps/shops/alarmsforfarms/resources/Other/gateway-alarms.pdf
  22. Ha Ha yes have thought about that, I have the usual 50+ aches and pains!! Where are u in Horley, I was born and bred there.
  23. The difference in price is only about £40 so tempted to go with the Echo as its been a bit more tried and tested?? Unless the Tanaka is a better machine??
  24. I'm after a power pruner. I'm thinking Echo PPT265ES, however my supplier is saying go Tanaka TPS-270S, he says same quality but less money?? Any thoughts please. Cheers Cdo
  25. Fair point Richard but im trying to tick many boxes with one machine, I think whats been suggested is that a 360 can achieve most of what I want and certainly more than a loader alone. Agreed it would be painful tracking by the bucket but I already have an alpine and trailer (soon) so can use the 360 to load the trailer. The alpine really doesn't suit a loader so I'd end up with another tractor and still not have the digging facility. Also been suggested that the 360 will be more stable. Craig
