  1. The dreaded stone wall... slow tedious work. We don't have shortage of them in ireland:banghead:
  2. Cheers Eddy. Looking forward to trying it now.
  3. Cheers stubby. Yeah think I'll pop a craic at the 372. Even though I keep thinking 395xp..... Having few beers now so better go mate. Don't want to say Smth too stupid lol
  4. I got the 21 Lpx .058... Will it sap much extra power? Pity I didn't know this before I made the order.
  5. Thanks sawtroll and coletti. Have an 18" oregon pro lite bar and chain ordered. It will do all I need. Was looking at 372s last night and they are not as big of money s/hand as I first thought... So maybe sooner than later I know the 576xp has a few more kw than the 372xp but the 372 is a nicer handling saw right?
  6. Whatever I have at the time. Like stihl files though for all chains.
  7. Yeah I'm still on the original sprocket, it's 325 and I presume it's a 7 tooth. I can't justify a bigger saw really tbh. However, I'm considering getting a 372 down the road as then I'd consider myself covered for whatever I may come across. thanks again mate... Have couple of older saws here that may get me out of this spot. And old cs 60s even though it's slow and sluggish and a 65/70 cc mac of some sort.. Once I get past the main trunk I'll be using the 550
  8. Yep thanks a mil lads. Will just order an 18 from chainsaw bars UK I think. Be handy to have the odd time anyway. 20 would be just too much the more I think of it even though it pulls the 15 without any hesitation. Will the same sprocket work if I order the oregon pro lite bar? It's wearing a 15" huskie bar and chain atm.
  9. Cheers eddy. Might just order an 18". Probably more usable than getting a 20 and it not much use. It's only one tree and I'll manage with the 18 me thinks. Yeah the bars do get really hot on these no doubt..
  10. Hi all, I'm looking for a little info. Will a 550xp pull and oil a 20" b&c for occasional use? 99% of the time I have a 15" on it but have come on a tree today that I'm going to have to go bigger on. 36-40" is diameter of the tree approximately. Another thing. Do these huskies go so much faster than the stihl that the bar is almost untouchable with heat? Yes it is oiling. Even put pump on max setting. Was cutting up some wind blown Ash today that's down for quite some time and it was getting really hot. No discolouration, just never noticed this on saws/bars/chains I've had before. btw... I'm definitely converted to husqvarna for sheer performance. Amazing little saw..
  11. Ms 180. That stupid carb that can't be adjusted is what makes me rate it as one the worst ever. Pity, as it's not a bad little cutter when running
  12. Have one and it's a little beast. As the others have said just run hard in wood and it be a winner.
  13. Congratulations fella. Wishing u and yours the best. Edward is a good name.
  14. Have a 550 and not a single problem as of yet. Only one so far is the old man flooded it yesterday. That new switch is confusing for some of the older fellas it seems.
  15. Using Q8 two stroke oil in a 550xp with no problems as of yet. Think I'll switch to the stihl semi or husky xp next time to be on safe side.
  16. As you say eddy, I WAS a stihl lover until I got this 550xp. Best piece of machinery I've bought in years. F**cking animal power to weight ratio:D
  17. Must be a able fly wearing a 13 bar and chain.
  18. Got the 550xp recently with 15" b&c and it pulls it stronger and faster than any saw I've ever used for a 50cc. Well impressed.
  19. 550xp I got recently. Little animal

    Stihl ms261

Got a 550xp recently and like you was going to get a 261. Never ran a 261 but very impressed with the husky.amazing throttle response and torque and nice to work.

    Saw Purchase:)

Have run couple of tanks through the saw now and it's amazing how much torque it has for a smallish saw. Pulls the 15" b&c with no trouble in anything and the throttle response is rapid. All in all I'm more than happy with the little 550xp. Would recommend.

    Saw Purchase:)

Thanks John, great price I think. Well pleased.

    Saw Purchase:)

Yeah picking a 550 up tomorrow in Jones' for £500. Happy enough with that tbh compared to prices at home. Always dealt with Brian or Arthur but can't justify the extra cost for supporting Irish economy when it made so many people redundant and I back and over to the UK for work. May as well take advantage of it:)

    Saw Purchase:)

Yeah nice to get away from the big smoke and hit the country/wild west at times. Aint been talking to any of them in ages man, presume they are ok though. Defo a small world though...
