    Dyna..

What are good sites apart from the usual van trader, eBay and Gumtree? Looking for the above vehicle 04/05 for around 3-3.5k but not many for sale or seems. Swb with aluminium drop sides.. Thanks folks.

    Chainsaw oil

Stihl synthetic the last while @ 18.50 per 5 litre can. Seen a husky 450 X torque today with the chain oil in a jelly like state.. Don't know what oil he was using though
  3. As timberwolf said. Takes patience and getting used to to avoid it. Being that extra bit careful is alot easier than man handling tracks on when ya could be knee high clay, bog or whatever.
  4. This thread fairly took off since I last posted lol that enviro kit looks good though.
  5. Have a 60- 5 myself mate and need to take a section of pad and chain out as the Piston that pushes out the idler is at its limit hence why I can't tighten the tracks as tight as needed.. Check sprocket wear, chain wear and tension or is Smth knocking them off. In the woods is one foul place for track machines as is boggy ground.
  6. Thanks but will probably get a dual can as it's handy for the oil anyway
  7. I've turned to the dark side in the last year and I've even began using aspen very recently. Whatever about lack of fumes and smell etc, I find it handy that I can leave the fuel in the saw until I use it again. Looking forward to less carb problems too:thumbup:
  8. Cheers eddy. Takes a load off tbh. I thought these autotunes had to be sent back for even the smallest jobs. Handy to know I can at least check out the carb
  9. It's a 550xp (autotune). No need to touch the low or high side or any side. Just start and cut lol. Thanks for the concern gtr:) appreciated...
  10. 18.70-20 quid eh, suppose we're not too badly priced then. Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it spud mate. All seems fine so far. Did some firewood this eve and is running good as ever.. don't mind changing the fuel line if i have to.. Just never worked on an autotune carb so fingers crossed I don't have to go stripping that
  11. What you folks in the UK paying for aspen? I forked out 25 euro today for 5 litres. Just curious..
  12. That is fookin nasty and looks significantly more painful than a needle prick
  13. Thanks so much people. Already went out and tried it. No problems.. spluttered a little at first but no biggy. They definitely need to improve on the can though, as no matter what angle it's poured at it seems to drip a little
  14. Cheers for the fast replies folks. Yes I'm referring to the 550 so the tuning ain't a problem. Just don't like the sound of having to strip the carb and change fuel lines. Got a can of aspen today so going to chance it I think.
  15. Hi all, is it ok to start using aspen after using a saw on ordinary 2 stroke mix such as petrol and stihl 2. I know there is a forum on aspen but didn't see this crop up. In looking to change as I don't use fuel as quick as I would like sometimes. Thanks folks

    bar and chain

Hope ya get better soon. Must have been scary stuck on rocks with a busted leg in white water.. does look similar to a small mount husky bar. Can check tomorrow eve of ya don't have it figured out by then
  17. Yeah I seen the new top handles come with them. Pity they don't make em for the rest. Seems they only make them for the top handle and the bigger saws 20"+
  18. Was looking for a techlite but didn't see them for sale with the small mount. All in all I'm happy with the pro lite. It's better made than I thought originally..
  19. One other thing. I ordered an oregon chain but they sent out a stihl instead. Don't bother me as I like the stihl chains anyway. Not sure which one it is though.
  20. Ok so I got the oregon pro lite bar and chain today and let it rip on the little 550xp. Got to say I'm impressed it pulls it well with a good sharpening. However, it is a bit nose heavy. I was a little surprised at the weight of the pro lite bar and expected it to be lighter but no biggy... Seems a well made bar. It is the max I'd go on this saw so glad I got the 18 instead of the 20" all in all my verdict is the 550 is able for the 18" bars for occasional use as is what I need it for...

    bar and chain

Pics would be a great help to the lads on here. It's more than likely an oregon bar and chain me thinks. Hope your better soon. Wasn't a sawing accident by any chance?
  22. Banned also lol. Must be a special thread for special people

    bar and chain

Is it not written on the bar near the dawgs?

    Love it.

Good luck with the new saw. Going to try pick up a good s/hand 372 when I can. Not that I'd need it so often but good to have for when the need arises.
  25. Good to know sawtroll.. should have it Monday or Tuesday and will give my thoughts on how it runs the longer bar.
