  1. Was that ‘Eh!’ a question, an exclamation or a kind of NI version of a Parisian ‘Mheh!’ Was it intended as a response to the preceding post or was it just some kind of involuntary body function, like a tick or a stammer, or a twitch.... Is it something I should attempt to address? ?
  2. 'kin 'ell egger! Yome going back to the pots?
  3. It's a little bit off topic but might be of interest....
  4. Death and tax egger, pretty much the only dead cert's in life..... ('cuse the pun) You can dodge 'em for a while but they'll get you in the end ? Best spend your money and enjoy your life - arrive at the hole penniless at 90 mph, stick in a handbrake turn and take the corner leaving only the smell of burning rubber....
  5. Not sure if I inadvertently fell into a 24/48hr coma and totally missed the widespread media coverage, political reportage and chattering surrounding the release of the latest cop body cam footage of that heinous career criminal losing his life after making all best efforts to avoid complying with the lawful instructions of a law enforcement officer carrying out his duty? Gonna get lively when the cops are acquitted.....
  6. I'm just gonna take a guess at the answer then and add that to my mental assessment of the scenario....?
  7. Great article below! DO NOT BUY IMPORTED OLIVE TREES! DO remind any retail outlets that are selling imported Olive trees that they may be contributing to the NEXT tree crisis and since we are still dealing with the consequences of the last one - Ash dieback - they need (and WE) need to demand better behaviour from importers and retailers. I'm off to Morrisons with my billhook (and no face covering) Buying Olive trees is no longer acceptable - Barcham Trees WWW.BARCHAM.CO.UK The Barcham tree nursery is situated in the heart of Cambridgeshire. Covering over 300 acres of land, it is by...
  8. Who bent it though Oeuf brouillé? The climber, the guy holding the rope or the gaffer that didn't have supervision of the job?
  9. I don't mean to come across as harsh (it happens whether I mean it or not - the intent is only to present the type of questions you would have to answer if it had been a warm body rather than a headstone), it's YOUR job, it's YOUR customer, it's YOUR look-out! Question - is your climber or you ticketed for CS 40/41 (in old speak) or not?
  10. Face covering police by proxy! That’s “special!!”
  11. That’s progress for ya..... ?
  12. Had my first ‘brush’ with the face coving police today. Shop assistance - have you got a face mask? Me - no Would you like me to get you one. No thank you. It’s COMPULSORY that you wear one! Are you aware of the exemptions? Trounches off (shop worker not me ?) Arrive at till. Observe and abide by floor marking exclusion zones whilst observing dear old lady at next til leaning on counter, ignoring distance markings but dutifully wearing a nugatory face covering. When did people actually become so gullible and compliant, slavishly adhering to the latest strap line and completely abdicating responsibility for personal thought and action? Next stop was the bank. Watched in awe as the hairy assed builder extracted a grubby paper mask from his filthy, mud, shite, cement (and probably, knowing Cornwall) asbestos caked pocket of his shorts and put it on his face. That’s the ticket chopper - that’s so much better....
  13. Did you go in the Crown & Anchor (Stone) while you were up homers? https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/crown-pub-stone-covid-coronavirus-4380387 Don’t know why I’ve asked - you’re not meant to even be in this thread ? You’ll have to reply by PM....
  14. Looks like we’re potentially next for lock down then....
  15. That’s a blatant breach of copyright / intellectual property that is! Im sure you’ve cut & paste that direct from one of my annual appraisal reports from back in the day when I had to toe the line, watch my Ps & Qs and mind my own business.... Thankfully, I’m (probably over) enjoying the liberty to be a bit more “Yorkshire” (I like what I say and I say what I bloody well like (in a thick Yorker accent)) since casting off the yoke of oppression that came with corporate responsibility...., ?✊??
  16. @Khriss in ya go ??????
  17. Obesity is a classic example of what I’m interpreting from what (I think) you’re saying....
  18. Or the Welsh NHS
  19. Ooooooookay....... As you like ?
  20. It’s NOT deflection Mark. I’ll be amongst the first to say what I think is wrong in the management of a genuinely unprecedented scenario. What actually IS deflection is claiming that it is deflection so as not to acknowledge the probable reality that Labour under Corbyn would have balls it up even more. It’s shit, but it would have been shitererer. Im not supporting the current regime, in this regard, I’ve said I think they are in a credibility deficiet. It’s not deflection at all, but you are showing that your anti-Tory tunnel vision is clouding your judgement again.
  21. It’s a fair point Mark..... As always, the ‘but’ is coming.... There certainly have been some monumental clangers from Boris and his merry band - Id be amongst the first to recognise and acknowledge that. Maybe in the great debrief of it all it might be demonstrated that central strategic policy and local operational control would have been a better approach - devolution if you like. But the real but is.... Can you even start to imagine how far down shite canal we’d be if Steptoe, Aboot and Ronald McDonald has been in charge? Some times you just have to count your blessing, hold your nose, tuck your tie in and take a huge bite of the shite sandwich ?
