  1. Legend! If only I'd known about this sooner: People to take to the streets in Falmouth in demo against US president Donald Trump's Muslim ban | Cornwall Live Could have gone for a night out and had a good laugh at the cry babies....
  2. It was on "Homeland" last night, that's good enough for me!
  3. Graves all around so felling is really tight, not really a valid option. The log / brash barrier may well be deployed and maybe a high point in the other tree but that didn't figure in my thoughts when I was looking at it last year. Worth another look tomorrow for feasibility. Like the ground re-direct option but I was thinking of just a free drop rather than tended. The only thing I want to avoid is bounce off after it hits the deck. Can't see a reason for matey in the vid doing it, other than for demo purposes? Thanks all! Good points to consider!! 👍
  4. I'm giving it 1 more year then make a judgement.
  5. I haven't had cause to use a vertical speed line before - Anyone got any top-tips or preferred methods for speed / ease? Found this vid (decent sound track) which all looks straight forward enough. Got pre-fight jitters thinking about the stem dismantle for this one for tomorrow, just don't want a random lump bouncing off and cracking a headstone!
  6. Farage has just done a piece to camera on BBC news saying just this! He also highlighted the hypocrisy and double standards of the political classes, the media and the hysterical masses who, either by accident, intent or ignorance have failed to react to Obama's previous unilateral ban on Iraqis and the numerous countries that unilaterally disallow Israeli passport holders (or even those of other nations with an Israeli visa stamp in their passport)
  7. The hilarious irony is, the inability of those that take and use that stance to reinforce their own belief, appear to miss the obvious galvanising effect it has on the plebiscite! Crack on boffins!
  8. Like or loathe him, it cannot be denied that, through long term personal commitment and dedication to the cause of exiting the EU, despite institutional derision and excommunication from main stream politics, in the face of ridicule and the seemingly impossible challenge of achieving that aim, he has remained true to his cause. He has influenced and re-shaped not only the UK political landscape, but also that of the entire continent of Europe AND is continuing with outreach and shaping US politics. Lest we forget, without UKIP (AKA Nigel Farage) there would have been no EU referendum, David Cameron would still be PM and JC would not be the leader of the Labour Party. So, in comparison to someone that has bought their knighthood through political donations, like or loathe him, he is without question, better placed than any other political character of modern times, to warrant recognition through the Honours and Awards system....... In my humble opinion! https://www.gov.uk/honours/types-of-honours-and-awards PS. seeing things differently from someone else doesn't have to mean you can't get on!
  9. I hear you! Although I rather like Farage! He qualifies in all respects for a Knighthood in my opinion.
  10. verbal is OK if less than 5 staff if I remember correctly? But a well formatted tick box + supplementary notes on the day only takes a few minutes and you have an audit trail...
  11. Just saying loike, there appears to be 2 opposing arguments, 1 appears to try to suggest that all immigrants are a net loss to the economy, t'other appears to try to suggest that all immigrants are a net gain to the economy. Personally, I don't think either is true in an absolute sense which is why a points or selective system of inward migration is the only logical solution. Can't understand how that could be seen as anything other than the blindingly obvious?
  12. I'd expect it to be a tough call Mr E, given the Labour history in Stoke, but I think they have royally balls it up of late. Can't remember her name, but the Lab MP who campaigned for Remain despite every constituent she met saying they were voting leave (it was a TV news feature, C4 I think). Add to that the current Marxist elitist management of Lab party (the Notting Hill set), and the apparent feeling of neglect for the "traditional" core Lab vote, maybe offset a little by hard line Momentum lunatic fringe apparent popularity, but then further adjusted by the the higher than average BNP popularity, the strength of the OUT vote, the underlying grievances regarding immigration and it certainly makes for an interesting mix! For my money, I'd bung it all on Nuttall, I think this is the best possible opportunity he will ever have to get a seat - and I hope he does!
  13. This is well worth a read: New to the job and young workers
  14. Are you a Stokie Vesp? I've just consulted the boss, she disagrees with you on that Scouser thing. If I were a betting man I'd have a tenner on Labour joining the LibDems in lost deposit territory.
  15. True! Was pretty much breaking new ground with the both issues though... I don't think they'll get caught out again!
  16. Not sure I understand it but, well, FWIW:
  17. http://www.businessinsider.com/paul-nuttall-ukip-eu-trade-deal-usa-brexit-2017-1?IR=T&r=UK Can't wait to see how the 2 by-elections go, and then read Vesp's analysis! Predictions....? As we've seen before, the bookies are normally pretty good, better than the papers / parties in any case (no point to prove, just money talking!) No trade negotiations until after leaving the EU? Maybe not until after Art 50 is issued but why on earth would anyone go into negotiations (leaving EU) without a few cards up their sleeve?
  18. (1) whooooaaa.... Look out, the skies going to fall in.... Er, no it's not, there is a readily available untapped source of indigenous labour - 4.8% according to the ONS. https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peoplenotinwork/unemployment (2) See above. (3) Not the only way, just 1 option. The obvious 'other' is to make not working less attractive. Agreed! There are more hard working immigrants than there are non-working immigrants. You've got to take your hat off to those that do come to work... They are doing right by their families and paying their way - it's a national disgrace that 4.8% of UK population don't have the same attitude.
  19. An online resource might be of interest: https://www.nrs.fs.fed.us/pubs/gtr/gtr_nrs97.pdf
  20. It's a question I always ask having suffered PPoor delivery in the past. The retailer might be top notch, but when they outsource 3rd party logistics and the courier fails to deliver, the bad feeling remains with the retailer not the courier.
  21. Are you the secret Corbyn/Abbot love child? (Asked in good humour / leg pulling sense, hopefully received in the manner it was sent, if not, will happily retract and apologise😍)
  22. Yeah, we'll get right on it.... (When Hell freezes over.....) 😂
  23. All of the above! AND, she was a even on C4 news @ 19:90 on purpose to spoil my night out!
