  1. [tuts and slowly shakes head in despair] You should, all 3 of you, be placed in the stocks and have rotten vegetables hurled at you by passing gentry.
  2. Bhah, I was only ½ right.... ?
  3. He’ll be chuntering into his pint formulating a witty retort as we wait Gary....
  4. I don’t like (publicly) agreeing with Mr ?, but he’s on the money today!
  5. Who would ever have thought the ‘log gobbling’ thread (cue lone cricket and tumbleweed) could have taken this much of a bizarre turn.... I’m not sure if all this is real or the hallucinogenic after shock of a Psilocybin event.... ?
  6. The good old days Gary.... ? It certainly WAS true in the past ?
  7. ? Possibly a clumsy choice of words.... Possibly not.... ?
  8. You mean the Union bloke? He was [in my book] everything that is wrong with Trade Unionism - an unstoppable gob-shite incessantly spouting the same BS at an unnecessarily high volume to the exclusion of everyone else and the determination to just keep going so that nobody else can speak. It's counter productive unless preaching to the converted - it's little more than rabble rousing and will never sway an 'undecided' or 'non believer' to that point of view. JRM in contrast can listen as well as speaking and when he speaks it's easy on the ear, considered, measured and logical. Even if the audience were pathologically opposed to his message, only a momentum indoctrinated chimp would fail to appreciate what it is he has to say - even if they don't like it.
  9. That is BRILLIANT! Didn’t see it coming ?
  10. A very keen point Jules - the neighbour may engage whomsover he sees fit to do work to abate - could be himself, could be a contractor, could be the tree owner. Havent read all of both posts yet yet but I think Ed was at the Mynors seminar at Barchams a year or 2 back. The “great caution” angle was certainly not how I recall the discussion of this topic as presented by the great wise one....
  11. Wouldn’t be the way it is if Gove hadn’t back stabbed Boris.
  12. It’s just a matter of time, he needs to take the top job.
  13. It’s the LibDumbs for you then chopper ?
  14. It’s actually pitiful to see it falling apart like it is Eggs. If only Alan Johnson had stepped up to oppose Corbyn at the leadership stage.
  15. Rib tickling to watch another train smash day unfold at the Labour conference today. Even James O'Brien (LBC AM) was distracted from his incessant, school girl, belly ache, hissy fit, whining about about Brexit (probably for the first time in months) to leather into Corbyn! Christ, even David Blunkett in interview with Shelagh Fogarty (LBC PM) said of Laura Smith "...she needs to grow up and learn some history..." when referring to her call for a general strike. The quote went on to say "...who does she think a general strike would impact upon? Not the multimillionaires and fat cats since most union membership is public sector so it would be the users of hospitals, transport, councils etc that would shut down..." (not an exact quote but you get the picture!) And don't even get me started on Corbyn!
  16. I knew as soon as I pressed 'send' someone would pull me up there! The comment is entirely and unambiguously directed at the tosspot in the video. Love his energy though.... It's so contagious!
  17. It's like a double negative, double bluff! Has he not realised, what ever he says to do, out of principle, new, new Labour will do the opposite... Brilliant ? he's a genius!!
  18. They are all putting some pretty special effort into “avoiding” the question of a second EU ref. Spineless bastards - easy to criticise the people faced with the responsibility, not so easy (apparently) to say what you’d do differently.
  19. 4+ hours on train from here - better off (and certainly cheaper) driving!!
  20. Labourconference - first Laura Kuenssberg needs personal protection, now Jewish Labour MPs will be offered bodyguards at Labour conference. Nevermind “New Labour” this is new fascism.
