  6. this one for gardenkit have 2 problems with a hayter heritage 13/30 ride-on mower 1st tried to start it on key with battery charged and safety switches engaged but nothing will start with jump lead from battery to starter and arcing the 2 solenoid contacts with the key turned on so am i correct in thinking it is the solenoid then? and the second when the deck is lifted up in to highest setting it is tightening the belt up and causing the blade to spin without the cutting lever being engaged cant see anything bent or out of alignment so could this be down to the wrong belt fitted? hope you can help many thanks albert

  18. hi dan i might have a side cover with handle about i use to have a 480cd and put a new side cover on it the old cover needs a brake band so if yours still as the brake band you might be able to make a good one out of the two i will have alook tomorrow to see if i still have it thanks albert
  19. hi folks am glad my thread as provocked some talking on this subject, the general meaning was to say that as the crime of theft of machinery continues it will reach apoint that the ordainary tree surgeon or small firm will not be able to afford insurance on there equipment so at that point they will be uninsured so when the next time the light fingered bar-stools come along and remove your stuff how the hell are going to replace the stuff thhat would cost ££££ to replace it just means people are not going to be able to so will be out of work!
  20. hi wisecobandit you wont be disappointed in it i have one that runs a 20 inch 3/8th chain on it and is quite owesome mine is 2004 model and apart from changing plug once a year and general maintence on as never missed a beat and starts every second or third pull have thought of trying it on a 15inch bar to see what it does but have not done it yet hope that helps albert
  21. hello everyone i always keep an eye on the stolen equipment threads and must say it is very depressing and makes one very angry that some scrot can come along and simply help themselves to the stuff that you have spent years and a lot of money getting to help you in your profession am included in this as i have had alot of machinery taken over the years and what i would like to do to them i cannot print here as it would be illegal and immoral but as anyone woundered what would happen if this trend keeps going its alright saying the insurance company will pay out but evertime your insurance goes up at some point it will come that insurance will become inaffordable and thus people will be uninsured so when stuff is taken it will be up to the individual to replace unless you have the money to do so alot probably wont then what happens? also the police commitment on this issue is exactly inspiring they rather give a crime number then thats it this is a worrying trend and at some point it well have to be delt with as too few times that people do get there stuff back it is good but these are to few and far between i hope those who have had the misfortune of being robbed, soon get sorted and are back at work have a good christmas albert
  22. hi treeap ypu are ,the ms271 is more of medium range saw but the 550xp is a professional saw i think will be more suitable for your needs its like a 346xp on steriods and viagra but up to you what you want hope that helps albert
