  1. I would say worth every penny of 5k .I paid 3500 plus vat for mine in 2003 .doubled in price since then .Have done in excess of 4000 tons , very good backup from Fuelwood
  2. As title says ,i am looking to purcase several lorry loads of processor cordwood - along with everbdy else!
  3. I have just purchased some boron wood treatment as mentioned on arbtalk ,and was wondering if it should be applied after milling immediately ,or after kilning . Any advice please ?
  4. jappa every time ,i bought mine new in 2003 it has processed around 700tons ayear - 35 tons of sycamore sycamore in 4 days a fortnight ago - didnt miss a beat .only changed hydraulic oil once since new easy to repair excellent backup from fuelwood keep two blades and sharpen regularily .Ideal for bendy cordwood

  8. Just been up to manchester for the weekend,and spotted what looked like a nice butt of burry looking horse chestnut on the road from disley to stockport,possibly on the lyme estate ,ideal for one of you local milling boys
  9. Yes ladder every time ,i've had a 4.5 m ladder used only for milling for ten years works every time ,four nails to hold it down!
  10. We use a very old racksaw as previously shown here recently , most days it willl cut any hardwood within 2mm,i say most- we all get off days ,but its still a pleasure to use!
  11. I will second that ,wouldn't touch a chainsaw processor ,heaps of sawdust ,sharpeningand oil. Stick to tungsten circular,i send mine to the saw doctor about every 70-80 ton .I have run my japa 700for 9 years
