  7. We have pads front and back- metal brackets with oiled oak packers .I'll try and photo sometime.
  8. Yes Atkinson walker saws - your blade almost certainly needs hammering ie it has lost its tension they also supply teeth and the cams to hold the teeth. feel free to pm me. We used to run a 4'6" circular bench commercially now only for rallies

  13. Thanks for the replies .yes a tricky project .no 3 phase on site so weighing up the cost of generator and fitting of 2 three phase motors against pto i do like the speed up gearbox idea though

  16. Thanks .bj. yes definitely a good job by your good self .We did have some superb yew boards that width - but all gone now . 4ft wide oak in the pipeline but gonna take a while to dry
