Stockport MBC Land Charges will supply a full copy of the TPO, after a written request, for £39.60 inc Vat , or just the map and schedule for £22.80 + Vat https://www.stockport.gov.uk/tree-preservation/request-copy-of-a-tpo There's nothing on their website to request a 'free' PDF that I can find. You can however use their online mapping to check if there is an order first.

    If someone else did all the R&D work, they could use poorer quality materials, quality control levels were lowered, they could pay manufacturing staff the equivalent of a Bic Mac a day.... Of course they could

    Doing the right thing, with the associated risk, still means there’s a net loss to local amenity. The entire system seems flawed. Contravene a TPO and fell a mature tree, get fined and the money goes elsewhere. Get planning consent, which may include tree loss, pay the community charge fee (can’t remember its proper name) and the money can go to building a sports centre elsewhere! If we recognise tree benefits, why can’t we utilise cash realised from their loss in replacement?

    So there's little real incentive on the LAs part to prosecute. Take all the risks and even if they're successful there's no funding to replace the lost amenity.
