  1. For recording when her tree came into leaf? These Honours really are getting worthless!
  2. Will you post me one when you do, please?
  3. Always said that the Royals were a drain on the country. This proves my point. Retiring at 95, it's alright for some:biggrin:
  4. But they do make a decent basis for a custom bike
  5. So where does the chip go?
  6. Of course they did:thumbup1:
  7. Move the sprinkler!
  8. Yeah, that would work :confused1::lol:
  9. It's okay, a Landscape Architect recently told me and his client that he knows of lots of trees that have survived ground level changes, when he proposed tipping a 100 tonnes of tarmac and sub base around a horse chestnut (which incidently was suffering bleeding canker and leaf miner) When I proposed removing the tree, the attitude was that it was easy money because we could park beneath it! I could see four standing dead trees on the site very much like your pictures.
  10. You can also do this on google earth Pro, which is now a free download to install.
  11. I'm on google chrome, office and home are different IP addresses. Never had it either,
  12. Only in the rules if he wants it putting back.
  13. But apparently, according to some, if you're not using your car, chipper, timber or logs, anyone can help themselves. Anyway, there's a nice Harley Davidson parked up the road, it hasn't moved for a couple of months so it must be up for grabs... I'll report back on how I get on:biggrin:
  14. Well, if the knowledge and expertise Isn't available 'in house', I don't have any disagreement with the use of a consultant. But the rest of the management in local government, civil service etc does appear a bit top heavy
  15. So we can have now established that, your attitude is that once you get caught thieving, you think the correct response is to be indignant?
  16. Well, if you explain it like that:biggrin:
  17. Is there a recognised term for the stem wound resulting from the failure of the lever arm?
  18. Tilia mush-pants? That's a new one to me:biggrin:
  19. What he said...
  20. Just something I was listening to, sat in traffic on Saturday, from a debate in Cornwall recently. I thought it was public knowledge?
  21. And that!
  22. It's surprising the amount of vacuum a house-hold cleaner generates. I watched Mythbusters pick up a car with the vacuum generated by one recently. That's an awful lot of suction:biggrin:
  23. Wonder if something like this would work, for smaller samples? Vacuum Storage Space Saving Bag Vac Bag Vacum Bags Seal Bags Travel Suitcase | eBay
  24. Why is everyone blaming the planter? The planter is responsible to a manager, presumably better paid and educated, who has a duty to manage the staff and what they do. If the manager spec's single stakes, that's how they're planted. If the planter doesn't know how to plant or hasn't been taught, who's really to blame?
