  1. Of course I do! I'm married. (I didn't with my first wife, that was the problem)
  2. You'd better let the fire services know that when it's cold and wet, that they need less firefighters on duty then. What a financial saving. Are you for real?
  3. Stopped to look at this birch last week, just because of the unusual growth. The photos aren't great but the interconnected 'ribs' around the stem are unusual and very pronounced. I don't think this is reaction wood due to dynamic stresses or internal cracks, but rather a development due to historic changes in the rooting environment. Thoughts please, (or, hit me back please)
  4. DONT.....:FEED.......THE....TROLL..
  5. Can you get a pic of the leaf scar and buds
  6. He wouldn't, would he?
  7. Like any situation where colonisation has occurred, it's all a matter of degree, finding/trying to find a balance between reducing the lever arm while not reducing the trees ability to create the energy for defenders. Not it easy or an exact science.
  8. Don't you just hate that?
  9. Used one a few times & not that keen. But, they're another tool in the box.
  10. It says, "Don't tell Stubby, but..."
  11. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/cambridge-news/underground-bin-system-eddington-cambridge-13389740.amp These are going be really usefull for getting rid of chip, takings up and small diameter timber Edit, and groundies who don't back for more brash
  12. I'm doubting my initial thoughts, seeing the bark in the last picture, it's a lot rougher than it looked from above. But the green band I meant is....
  13. I can see the post Stubby!
  14. I'll throw laburnum into the mix, particularly because of the photos 2 and three. pic 1 looks like a poplar, but is overexposed, pic 2- slightly oakish, but the bark in three and four along with the green band (cork cambium?) suggest laburnums
  15. I do believe that that is their problem.
  16. I'm so contrite for not thinking petal. I hope I haven't intimidated to the extent that you have to go to quiet safe space until you feel better. I cant find a snowflake emoji so I'll apologise.
  17. That's cos you've no friends to communicate with Only kidding!
  18. I've just upgraded to a 5SE everyone at work's asking why I didn't choose a iPhone 7 or 8 What do they do better? ( That I need?)
  19. I'm trying to be a bit more mindful in my posting, so as not cause offence to anyone. I forget that newcomers who are unaware of the long running jokes and general banter might see some posts as derogatory and/or offensive when they're not.
  20. I'm the opposite, I'll drive my L200 all day but have hated every seat (driver/passenger) of every LR I've ever been in.
  21. Even a broken clock is right twice a day Dont you just hate it when you know the answer, don't say it and then say you knew it after it's revealed? No one believes you. thought I was making a fool of myself, but it did look like it
  22. Might be a daft answer, but they look like small figs.
  23. What? Compared to yours? sorry Mark, you did leave the door wide open. I'm sure that you complete many fine reductions on a regular basis!
  24. He's grown a wee bit since then!
