  1. At a guess it was a 13t Volvo looked like a 8t Komatsu think it was one of h.e services hire fleet with a grab yes at jct 12
  2. Seen a Volvo with a tree shear and a smaller 360 working just off the m40 at banbury today didn't want to just trundle across the field so thought I'd ask if anyone new who it was as I would like to gain more experience with this sort of work many thanks Tom
  3. I recently bought my first chipper it's a kwickchip 222 it leaves the 150 for dead and just about keeps up with my friends 190 I would definitely buy the biggest you can as it was a fraction of the cost of smaller chipper I do chip anything up to the size that will fit but still end up taking plenty of timber away
  4. Hi was talking with a friend who works for a large property management firm and he asked me if you could dead wood a tree in a conservation area with out the 6 week wait with planning and the honest answer is I have no idea could anyone give me the answer thanks
  5. Anyone out there had one of these thought the door don't really know why I've been sent it is this all about getting votes or is my advertising that good the pm has seen it :b
  6. I've had both pairs of steins avoid IMO I would go for the hiax or push my budget and get some air streams there by far the best boots I've ever brought and have out lasted any others I have owned

    My Vice!!!

I have mine behind the cab two bits of box one inside the other slides in and out locks of with a bolt with a bit of bar welded to it will see if I've got any photos
  9. I went and chipped some brash for a friend a few weeks ago was 6 good 6 yard skip loads into his yard and filled one to the brim with chip rammed down
  10. 10 !! Well I'm sure that comes down to the that's wood it burns principal lol
  11. Not sure it could be done under 25k but it might. def 130 ally tipper land cruiser engine box axels kumo kl71 MUDs that would be my ideal
  12. Just the way it goes with second hand kit the only issue I've had so far is the bolts that adjust the blades in and out were threaded bar so when I finally managed to shift the nut the bar wouldn't come out so I drilled and taped them put bolts on it with a nut to lock it solid also found that there's a small brash trap under the feed rollers that if left starts to bind up the bottom roller so I take the panel of every so often and clear that out. I really can't fault mine it's doing really well for my first chipper
  13. Yer she has a two cylinder air cooled rugerdinie it's a good chipper doesn't use much fuel turn table is awesome the only thing I wish it has was anti stress as it will take some big timber through but you just stop it on the bar it's quite loud but it chips and puts it in the truck every time I need it (so far) was a fraction of the cost of a second hand timberwolf or greenmech so win win for me
  14. Sorry to butt in but I have an old 222 and would love manuals as well if someone would be so kind
  15. Cabstar ldv transit anything like that would be best will take some modification to fit the roll but full hight sides and lockable full hight split barn doors would keep the mowers etc safer when out and about and on another note id put my price up your very cheep ATM seen you ad
  16. Andrew Nash has a skid steer with a mulcher on it he's near chesham so not to far away or James Jolliffe might be able to help I can pm you there numbers if that helps
  17. I started out with a sj410 have had several 90s,110 and discos and have finally brought my first arb truck I brought a 130 as it suits my work and also I can tow everything I need to you can find them relatively cheep I payed 4k for mine tipper high sides the lot but it did take me 18months to find it and a 6 hour each way drive to collect if your not off the road nkr would get my vote every time good towing capacity handles loads better than the transit
  18. In pouch on the back of my harness have seen some people with the pouch ductaped to the silky
  19. Thanks for that guys I thought that was the case as I have not seen it yet I don't know a lot about the tree you know how people can be limb may well be small branch. But knowing I'm able to make safe and then advise on further work and apply for planning makes my life a bit easier thanks again
  20. I've just had a phone call from a chap who's had a limb fall from a tree and land on his garage it's in a conservation area if I get there tomorrow and it's dangerous am I allowed to fell ( if it can't be made safe ) on the grounds I feel it's a risk to property or personal damage or do I have to apply to the council ? This all stems from someone telling me the rules on dead and dangerous trees has changed
  21. I was once in the same situation although I left when I was 21 with my tickets I have to say I took me a long time to leave with all the little perks I had but the best thing I ever did was leave I'm now 5 years down the road gained better and more varied knowledge and skills from different people I've worked with do your tickets talk to your boss and try and find other people to work for I wouldn't be working for less than 60 a day if it's local but aim hi boss can only say no
  22. Think that only stands on new builds ! As it's already a tipper a change to the tipping body doesn't affect the type of truck it's still a tipper if you were to fit a cherry picker or chipper you would need to have it tested as it is no longer a tipper as registered on the v5
