  7. Wordle 1,012 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Scratching my head for a bit until there was only one option left!

  10. Think that is Olearia, the Daisy Bush. Olearia Macrodonta New Zealand Holly Coastal Hedging Plant WWW.PARAMOUNTPLANTS.CO.UK Olearia Macrodonta, New Zealand Holly, vigorous evergreen shrub with grey-green leaves and small daisy-like white flowers in clusters, ideal for coastal hedging
  11. It just means that you have to use the clues from your previous guesses.
  12. Wordle 1,004 4/6 ⬜⬜🟩🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟩⬜🟩 🟩⬜🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Start with a different word every day. Use Hard Mode in Settings.
  13. One really cold day at work, customer asked if I’d like a hot drink. Before I’d had the chance to ask for my normal “Builder’s tea, bit of milk” the guy had shot off into his kitchen. He emerged after a few minutes with a mug filled with a dark brew, with definitely no milk in it - must be a black coffee, I thought. First gulp nearly ended up sprayed in the guy’s face… BOVRIL !!! Disgusting.
  14. Loads of flowers still out here on nasturtium, salvia etc. No sign of a frost yet…
  15. It’s important to be happy in your work. Money isn’t everything. Is this a complete jump in the dark, though? Maybe if you’ve got a secure income from welding covering your financial commitments, a transition to tree work would be best. No use burning bridges if it’s going to give you sleepless nights worrying about your bills. Hope it goes well for you. 👍
  16. Pfanner Arborist here too. Best fit I’ve ever found in chainsaw pants for my weird shape.
  17. Spent a very happy afternoon staking out this Buddleia in the Quantocks for butterfly pictures. First got into butterfly spotting while living in Hampshire in the 80s. Some great habitat there. Old Winchester Hill a really happy hunting ground, great memories of sunny summer days there.
  18. Paid my guys in cash for years. Always got a written receipt, which kept the accountant and HMRC happy. Seeing much fewer cash payments from customers since Covid, generally.
  19. I got a hydraulic splitter this year. As you say, the prospect of splitting logs for hours on end isn’t so appealing for those of a certain age with creaking joints. I’ve only used mine 3 times so far but it has been really useful, processing in an afternoon what would take me days to do by hand. I bought the Forest Master.
  20. Just to clarify... my back related symptoms were the result of tree work injuries, not wrestling with gorillas! 🤣
  21. Seems like loads of people have had these problems eh? I have the odd twinge now and again, but 20+ years ago I was regularly taking whole weeks off work for back related symptoms. My saviour was spending some money on a really good mattress for my bed. Really did the trick for me!
  22. Come across several tree owners over the years who say stuff like "Now don't get me wrong, I like trees..... but it's the ****ing LEAVES!!! " Which ends up with jobs looking like this. And probably a satisfied customer.
  23. Took the one out I worked on because the customer thought it was a danger to his house. It was only when I was id-ing it after the event that I read that one of it's telltale features is the leaning trunk!!!
  24. Looks like Nothofagus Antarctica mebs? Worked on one for the first time last year. D'oh, too late....
