1.
Hi Rob .. I haven't had any chains arrive .... did they get posted ?? Ross

 2. Great job... love them feet ... I just wanna tickle em !!
 3.
Hi Rob ... Been in touch with my nearest place. He said he needed a strap link to take a drive link out and he didn't have the right one in stock for this chain. (Did he just mean bugger off ???) Next nearest place is a bit further away so best if I can post these two back to you. Will do that Monday if that's OK. Thanks ... Ross

 4.
OK Rob ... No probs....I'll see if I can sort it and let you know ... Thanks Ross

 5.
Hi Rob ... Received the new bar Tuesday but only got round to fitting it today Thursday. While the bar mounts fine I cannot adjust the chain tight enough. I ordered the extra drive link - 69 but it is seriously slack !! Have I misunderstood somewhere ?? Thanks Ross

 6. Its a good point Norfolk and you are 100% right but my training with Phil Dunford started with all the pictures I ever needed to see.
 7.
OK Rob thanks for your help .... decision time !!

 8.

Hi Rob ...thanks for the reply. Let me just clarify a couple of things, I didn't realise the light type dime tips would fit as your carving bar selector says only the 9 inch samurai goes on the ms150. Does it apply to the 10 & 12 & 14 inch dime tips.

Is it a solid bar - dime tip that you are waiting for ? Do you have an idea of what they will cost and would I really notice a great deal of difference between 10/12 inch light type and solid ??

If I decide to go with a light type should I select a different saw to be able to select the bar ? Sorry to muck about !!! But I'm desperate to get a dime tip on it

Thanks Ross

 9. That's a bostin job mate ... looking forward to seeing you do a better one !
 10. Thanks for all the help on this everyone ... thanks for the vid farmer and thanks Tom for several attempts to help me out. Hi lift jack jack has got me thinking as a more portable solution would be best. As for the Weetabix I just have my doubts ! I think the wife has some bute for her oss I could try !
 11.
Hi Rob ... Just spotted you have posted since ... about 4 months ?? Thanks Ross

 12.
Hi Rob Is there any news on a Sugi dime tip to fit MS150 other than the Samurai? I Know you said back in November you had hoped there may be. I don't like the Stihl quarter tip that's on it ... and as much as I fancy a Samurai I want to get a dime tip on it. Sorry if you have posted about this since ...Thanks Ross ...FriarsGorse

 13. Nice one pig ... really love it ... presume you can pick that one up ok
 14. Hi Will ... welcome to Arbtalk ... Super job ...very impressive
 15. Thanks guys ... I think the A frame is as good as we could come up with... have discussed it with my Defender welding mate. We also thought about a fold up engine hoist with some axles welded and chunky rubber tyres ... sort of medieval weapon of mass destruction type thing.
 16. I'm lucky enough to be able to carve in some local woods so I don't have a problem with making a racket. Theres not much big wood there and if there was I don't know how I would shift it. I would like to go begging for some big stuff as I would love to have a go at some bigger carvings but if I was offered some ... I have a Defender 110 pick up (only because I've got a good mate who can fix it fairly regularly) but don't know quite how to go about loading and unloading some big stuff. Of course if money were no object ... but it is !!!! Anyone got any good tips or ideas because I just ain't as strong as Tom
 17. Hi Splinters ... I'd presumed it was one piece ... couldn't see where there would be a join I'm interested how carvers move their big chunks of wood about as I can only carve what I can pick up with me bare hands and bad back !!! I must post a thread ! Nice to see it in situ ... its a great job ...Bostin
 18. Nice job ... poorly paw awww !!! I like sycamore and creosote !!
 19. Thanks everyone and welcome Niall... your description of habitat could not be more accurate. This is a mixed broadleaf woodland just outside Stourbridge West Midlands. Found underside of a pile of Silver Birch / Sycamore felled approx. 24 months ago with heavy fallen leaf cover and bramble thicket - hence warm I presume? I will post some more pictures of this and others when I can as today we were forced to retreat by some quite scary thunder and lightening. We are a little concerned ... this was a reserve firewood pile ... have we disturbed something rare ??
 20. It does look cool already ... 10/10 for originality.... pressures on now ... look forward to progress pics !!!
 21. Have to agree with previous ... Impressively simple ... bring on the next ...
 22. That's great ... how did you get it there without wreckin the lawn ?? Looks heavy!!
 23. That's a lovely careful job. Has a Pixar quality to it .... I cant see the join!
 24. As a complete fungi numpty I had no idea what this was I found in a woodpile today. Can anyone enlighten me ... I have never seen such a lovely colour in the woods before (apart from bluebell time)
 25. They are superb ... really classy work Kim as always !!!
