  1. I work for our local council and on TPO trees we can only deadwood them, any other work to them has to go to the planning meeting.
  2. That was my first new saw in the 70s £200 chain brake optional.
  3. Mine's be lit since about 5 today, wet and horrible in S Wales today.
  4. We use a 20" on our 441 and a 25" on the 461 both are fine.
  5. They pop rivet a tag on and spray smart water on them too, it wouldn't take much to de tag them though.

  7. We had our new saw's and blower today, to replace a couple of knackered 036 and 440 and a flat pack blower ( Iveco 4x4 run over it ) I know a lot of you are Husky people but we like Stihl this end.
  8. Same happened to one of our council ones a few years ago, tracker set up stopped them starting it so they fired it up.
  9. There was a opening in the roof above the fire but I bet it was still smokey.
  10. This was in Pompeii around 2000 years old it was used to heat a bath and steam room. The ash was from the volcano Vesuvius.
  11. Saw this in Mahon Menorca 25-3-13 not much of a clue what it is.

  13. My cousin in L.A is a film maker not really into Docs but the bigger stuff, his main claim to fame was Robin Hood prince of thieves. Google Pen Densham and see what comes up, if interested and need advice tell him his cousin Symon told you.
  14. Ours is the like yours but single cab and sides, we really like ours. You can get an idea of size by the fellows in front of it.
  15. Our supervisor ( working with us ) was giving the wood to anyone who stopped and asked, after he filled his Landrover ( the white one ) of course.
  16. Our Highland bear was red and we had a nice extendable timber trailer too. Good old Lord Salisbury.
  17. Nice tractor Mad Matty we had one with a timber crane called a Highland bear about thirty years ago, when I worked at Hatfield House in Herts, before I moved to S Wales.
  18. I work for the local council, so it's outside funding for the project.
  19. Been clearing a steep bank so they can make the road wider over the last few Sundays. Caused a nice tailback today later on.The total length will be approx 250 metres.
