Put my harness on arb trader last night. I'm always dubious over second hand harnesses and ropes but this one has hardly been used. Not going to climb anymore going to concentrate on getting on with the tool repairs. Plus I havnt had the time to do any climbing in the past 5 months. Don't see much climbing going on any time soon with the back anyway. Yep mine used to be agric spraying aswell. Used to always just follow the sheet set by the boss. But still needed to do it. I was a recognised operator and got all the new info and mags in the post. Think that stopped, either that or the people living in my last house are getting a LOT of junk mail :lol: Always had to know how to work everything out as the boss used to disappear on holiday at every opportunity and left it all to us. So had to figure most of it out. Wasn't too bad really, just worrying that if we got it wrong we would destroy an entire crop.... It never happend.

See what they say first. They will give you a list.the masks are to a CE number or mark. The suits are chemicals disposable suits. Make sure you take a few of them. (The horrible white things that just tear apart) gloves must be of a certain length. Halfway up the arms jobs and rubber ones. Steal boots are ok as far as I know. Also a plastic face mask for splash back of chemicals. If doing pa6 then you may need a knapsack sprayer. But depends if they have them. See what lost they throw at you first and work from that. Ask them that if you don't have anything in time can they supply. Just say the postman is crap.:lol:

Yeah true. But it's always easy to forget something just as you pick up the bottle. Plus if you pick up an open container that someone else has used and you need to check the rates you have to have gloves on. So this means gloves on pickup and read container. Then gloves off then do it all and then gloves back on to mix up...... A lot of time spent. And not forgetting getting the sprayer out and handling that without gloves on.... Just goes on and on and on.

They have to allow a calculator as even tho you may use a product for many years the rates can and do change. Health and safety and all that. Plus calculators are in everything now. So you will always have one. Only thing I had to argue about was using the phone for its calculator while still wearing the gloves. So brought a cheap cheerful one and labeled it for use with chemicals only. This meant no using it without gloves. That way it stays contaminated where a phone will not be washed after.

Yes the maths part is. But you are allowed a calculator. After all they have to let dumb farmers pass the courses after all

Same as any course. They will teach you everything you need to know to pass the course. But once past most things you will figure out or read the labels. You normally have to take ppe to the course unless they state they provide it all.

I've seen that vid sooo many times. One that always brings back the college days are the know your tractor know your ground ones. This is one of them but there used to be loads. Used to shoot a lot but gave it up. Used to have a .22 cz. Amercan varmint. Damn nice gun it was. And two 12bores. Wolfe now has them still I think.

Here is the mower. Works fine always starts. Good mower. The hedgecutter for gardenkits sake is a stiga sh65, Done a 200t clutch spring. Does anyone else worry when they can't find the rest of the broken spring.

Well it sort of landed on me. The owner has got given a very nice mower. With a brush, snow plough and roller. So his old one is coming to me. Just looking into if its worth it or not. Seen one on the bay and its on bid, ends tomoz and is only on 100 quid. So for 100 quid is it worth selling on or strip it and see what I can do to make a racer or just keep it as is...

So far yes. I have tried probably nearly every one under the sun. Every time I go to docs and they want to give them to me they try another type. Every one I've had so far has had the same result. So now I don't bother. Penicillin actually almost killed me once.

Ok. So been given a ride on mower, its a concord with b and s engine. It's in very good nick. Need some attention. Going to give it a full service. Will get a pic up tomoz. Does anyone know roughly what they are worth? Woundering if its worth selling or stripping down to make a racing mower.

Many thanks again all. Well woke up this morning and went back to work. Had to be carefull a bit but seemed fine. Even managed a shout with the lifeboat. Back is still letting me know its there now a nd again today. Osteopath was absolutly awesome.
