  1. Now I've met you eggs I can just imagine it.:lol:
  2. The winch you and on rob. When it wouldn't unwind, there is a small catch and it wasn't working like it should. Not sure if it was where it was being used on its side or not. It's a catch that is suppose to spring out and lock the winch incase it runs away from the operator. Should be too hard to figure out and as you ar not using it for pulling big loads you should be able to tweak it a small amount. Very impressed by the way.
  3. As soon as I got back from the show it was raining hard and thunder and lightning. Cooler today. Off to lifeboat now fora play in the channel.
  4. I found it was harder to strip. Clever little design those poles.
  5. There is a circlip inside the shaft that pulls up the inner shafts when its exdended. Has been known to break. And a pig to get apart Good luck.
  6. It's not your shame I'm worried about mate. Nice to meet you to bud.
  7. Had my first look at one at the show today. One it feels heavy and that's without the bar. Second it had a spark arrestor screen. So that will be the first part that goes missing. I didn't like the look of it, looks like it could be a pain to take apart. But that's just me. I won't be buying one or using it in a tree.
  8. I was kept awake all night by someone trying to find there tent in one of the four corners of the area. I do have a picture of mr bolam just after birth but I might get told off if I put it up due to him being scantily clad. Eggs managed to find his camp site. About 2.5m down the road from the show. 'twas a good time it was. And really nice and relaxing. Just what I needed. Oh and the missis had a good time aswell. Next year bringing the boy with us. But its home and the phone has about 20 messages on it for tool repairs. So its back to normal on Monday. Many thanks for the hospitality pat.
  9. Spoil sport. :001_tt2::lol::lol: Hey it's all for a good cause I'm happy. I actually managed to hit the damn board this year at least.
  10. Facebook page??? Gt a link.
  11. Paul. It's awesome. If I had the need to get one I would. If I wasn't tool repair but an arborist or landscaper I wouldn't hesitate. It's well worth the money. I couldn't believe I could lift the long reach hedge cutter with two finger just supporting it and giving it a slight lift. Plus I saw that I could hold it one handed and it would reach further than if I didn't have the harness on. Basically I loved it. It's going to be my reccomendation of the year for anyone who brings me a cutter for repair and says one things bout having to work with them all day. The info sheet that ted was giving out is staying with me. Andy. Sorry I didn't know who you where really. I had a hunch but wasn't too sure. Did meet you last year. I rekon I won the axe throwing with my awesome skills.
  12. Cracking that it is.
  13. I look fat in that picture.
  14.:lol: I was thinking the same about the girls. But then it was London. Good luck Paul. See you some time in the future. Looking at going to apf next year.
  15. Sorry forgot the picture with the big man himself. ELG
  16. Hey it's whatever comes my way to try and fix I'm afraid. Wouldn't make any money turning down every none stihl or husky machine that come through the doors. Sorry but us full timers can't afford to only fix husky and stihl saws spud. :001_tt2:
  17. Rob d has been very busy at the show. Done some fantastic milling and I really liked the winch idea. Wanted to make me get a mill and try it out. Some lovely looking benches.
  18. Well just got home. What a show. Fantastic doesn't begin to describe. Justin has gone all out and done it. Had a good go at axe throwing and I think I got 13. There is a huge knack to this throwing malarkey. And meeting up with arbtalk people was also a good high point. Meeting up with the big man himself. ELG. And I can safely say that after seeing and trying on the easy lift harness I'm hooked on them and if anyone asks me about it I can praise it up to them. An excellent piece of kit it is. So I'm also sitting here munching on peanut butter m and ms. getting my fix. A HUGE HUGE thank you ted. Then meeting with Justin at long last. Top man. Plus also les cork. Another top man. And of course the bar in the evening. Such a great laugh. All at mark bolems expense of course. Pat I have to ask how on earth you can be that hyper. You just don't stop mate. So to Justin a very big thank you for putting on a great show, and also a show that meant people can meet and great. Looking forward to next year already.
  19. Yep still here. Nice to meet some arbtalkers at long last. Pat ferret, bolam, eggs, wolfie, ted, tractor62. Etc etc etc. A cracking good laugh. Totally enjoyable. And I have never seen anyone drink like a fish....... And still get up early...
  20. Les. I tried to catch you today. I'm camping near the entrance. Every time I came near the Oregon tent there was no one there. Make sure your there. If not catch me. At the bar now.
  21. I not answering that. That is not a fair question to ask a man. Bit like being asked if she looks ok in what she is wearing. It's a no win situation.:lol:
  22. Now I reading the bad things about employees. I relise why some bosses are the way they are. Working for various people, I have found its different form one to another, I know relise its also maybe not the boss that is and ass. But previous workers from the past that has made them that way. Being tarnished by th same brush does come to mind. But if a worker proves his worth then a boss should relise this also and change.
  23. Oh yes. I'm sitting here twitching and fiddling with my thumbs. Trying my best not to show I'm getting stressed as I know it will be worth the wait.
  24. On the back of this I should mention at this point I'm still waiting to leave for the show. The other half has decided that her hair is a mess and is getting it cut before we leave. So this will mean waiting for cutting, show after, then changed and finally getting out the door. Should be there just in time for the evening entertainment. But I still love her.
  25. Well. Now I get very well looked after. Nice bonus at Xmas. A nice bloke to ground for. And if I needed help he has given it in the past. Like when I nearly lost my son and needed to travel to London every day. I got a loan from him and he wasn't in a hurry to ask for it back. Worked it off in days. Try to pay for breaky and sometimes I do but most I get told to put it away. So I get the ice creams in when I can. I do agree with smaller firms being easier.
