  1. I repair tools. Fix anything with an engine. Drive 360 excavators. Drive tractors. Basically anything with an engine I can use it. Oh I do ground for a firm now and again.
  2. That's what I thought until the local copper stopped and gave them a lift down to the station, then they went out and put limpit mines on the side of the ferry that they where using for practice. It sailed out of the harbour and just as it reached the entrance the flashbangs being used as mines went off. The copper then drove them back up the road. Naughty thing to do it hilarious but naughty. They got away with it tho.:lol:
  3. Oi I'm still here you know...... And I have had one ryobi saw in and I'm never going to hear the last of it... Mower details for you Barrie. Honda gcv 160 Lazered numbers, GJAAE-3201629A and its either 4g4 or ygy my eyes are going and I was squinting a lot. Looked like a big four but could be a capital Y don't ask.
  4. They havnt been down there for ages. Wouldn't suprise me if one of the boat owners left there system on.
  5. Well so far it hasn't happened again. Cars have been down there for the past few days and nothing. We did notice a crane parked up near by, but wasn't being used, could the control box have been left on? The problem is the amount of boats around there it could have been anything, so many use systems with frequencies. There is AIS systems, radar, radios, fish finders, depth finders, sonar on the dive boats. And the radios run on high and low frequency, could have been any of these getting left on on a boat. I guess the real cause may never been found but some investigation in the future is needed if it starts to happen again.
  6. It was the OPC cable last time. Replace the inner cable with the old sheath. This time its the drive cable and it has the adjuster half way down it. Need to check the numbers and see if I can get one.
  7. Still havnt got my hands on a 201t yet. None have come in for anything. Not even a new chain. Really want to get my hands on one tho. A mounfield came in with a broken cable, and its the same mower with the cable that we couldn't identify Barrie.
  8. Doing an old shredder today. Briggs and Stratton 5hp, a small garden one with the big gravity Shute for brash and cuttings and the smaller Shute for thicker branches for chipping. Wouldn't run without fuel into inlet, then will burn that and stop. So carb off and clean, ,ain jet was like concrete, a 0.5mm drill bit, air line and some carefull patience soon cleared it. I didn't drill it by the way but used the bit on my hand to work it down. Blew the whole thing out. Runs perfect now. And gave it some elder to try it out and it snatches it out of my hand. The chipping part also works great. Its nice when bringing something back to life. The air filter was the wrong one as when put on would starve the engine of air and make it slow right down. Looked at air filter and it was the wrong one. The owner is going to sell it. Perfect for the average gardener or homeowner that cuts there own hedge.

Divulging what info. We got called out to a kayak in trouble in the harbour, no sure what I can't divulge about that, he was drunk yes but as there is no law against it there is nothing illegal about it. It won't go to a court and the police questioned him as he caused a risk to his and others lives. The police took details as they always do and went on there way. What we do does not effect anything that happens legal wise and I'm very sure I'm not stupid enough to put about anything illegal that could get me in trouble. Plus the RNLI with have a press release out before I have got home.

Yeah but I'm not allowed to say that out loud. Drunk in charge of a kayak. Need to be a law against it that's for sure. Held up 3 ferries while we where searching.
  11. Hmmm, they are doing works at the old hovercraft site accross from he station. But not seen any cranes. Might be worth looking into tho. Will have a look tomoz.
  12. So do we. Its strange as the td5 owner took his into town to get some dinner and he said it worked perfectly in town.... Maybe some tests need to be done tomoz.
  13. Ok long story so will try and keep it short. Today at the lifeboat there was a td5, he went out to go home and the key fob wouldn't work. So unlocked with key, the alarm went off with door open. So new battery in fob. Managed to open the door but when the key went in ignition the alarm went off. So after checking fuses and fiddling with a few things like unlock and lock three times, nothing. Twiddled with the fuses while turning the key after a lot of playing managed to get the ignition on with no alarm but no engine start, the relay was ticking but not starting, so immobiliser was on as red light flashing on dash. So after some fiddling and playing around and a lot of swearing it finally started, this took about 3 hours of playing around trying all sorts. Thought it was a one off until after the shout earlier on. When two of the crews cars done the same thing. Key fob not working and alarm just going off. One was another td5 the other was a merc car. But the merc would start with the key used to unlock the td5 wouldn't. Exactly the same things on all cars. So we pushed the td5 off the quay and away front he station and the fob worked and the cars started. Didn't do this on the first one as we thought it was an electrical problem. Now we are thinking its a signal/frequency problem around the station. Only today and there is no new antennas been put up or the like. Asked the harbour and they said the same. So would his be likely or not. Just strange that we pushed the cars away and they worked perfectly. Next time it happens we are going to turn off the boat house radios and try again. If that doesn't work we are going to push off the quay again and try that.
  14. Sorry been out on the boat. Think I will let you take this one spud. I know ho which you love the glory. Hey you just helped fix a stihl. How does that make you feel.

Callout tonight. IMMIDIATE launch given. This means life in extreme danger. Kayak was reported missing, friends if the man reported him missing to coastguard, he left the beach next to the harbour and wasn't seen again as thick fog rolled in very quickly. Lifeboat launched for a complete search of the harbour and sourounding beaches. A kayak was spotted by ferry workers off one of the berths. But no one spotted and kayak was upside down. Lifeboat on scene in seconds of report, man was found holding onto upturned kayak very wet and very cold. On recovering onto lifeboat was suspected intoxicated. Returned to station and handed over to port police for investigation. Was 3 times the legal limit for driving. He was at a berth and if one ferry came in he would have been sucked under it and we would have been picking bits of kayak up. A very lucky man.
  16. I would go with spud on this and the throttle not being back properly. Too tight and holding the butterfly open.
  17. You keep your prices where they are. I will then send you may siezed saws I get to sub them out to you through me.....
  18. Told you garden kit is you man. He is the all knowing orical of mowers
  19. Right, got ya. The early ones didn't have them.
  20. Get a husky..... Wait did I just say that. Must be ill..... I'm sure its one on the high and 3/4 on the low. Don't quote me as without looking at the manuals I'm not sure. I'm not sure what the notch thing you are on about is. I'm sure the oil adjuster is underneath the saw. Turn it over and look. Unless you have one of those dodgy ones.
  21. Just set it to accept cookie from all rather than visited sites. See if that works. Edit. That showed it.
  22. Ok. So I have just had to delete my history and cookies on the iPad. Now it won't stay logged in and everytime I click on something it comes up with the app notice, and have to keep clicking cancel. Then I get logged out and have to log back in again... Then I lose the thread I was on and go to search for it again and get logged out with the app notice.....
  23. From now on it should be referred to as a tractor with loading buckets.
