  1. I've got a chainsaw that I need to post but just went on parcel2go and looked at their restricted items list and chainsaw is on the list... Are there any couriers I can send a chainsaw with? Presumed other people on here must have couriers they use for sending saws
  2. The back is ok as the wood is stacked up, the wire is more there to form a line to stack up to and its sheltered at the back. The ends will get boarded over for winte. It's solid as a rock with all the bracing. The overhangs are doing their job so far, there's a clear few hundred mm of dry ground around the shed when it rains. I've always got the option of sticking a sheet along the front if I find rain starts to get in during wilder weather. But then I've got the problem of securing the sheet so it doesn't blow away
  3. The chain moves a tiny bit sometimes at idle. I'm not planning on using it till I've had a few things done to it and had it checked over. I've only started it up and revved it to make sure it runs ok. I've another saw I'll use till I know this one is 100%. Thanks for the replies and parts site suggestions
  4. Spent a fair few hours using mine now. Fantastic, it's worth every penny. No fatigue like with swinging heavy splitting mauls around.
  5. Bought a 2nd hand Husky 372xp that needs a new bar & chain. Going to tidy it up a bit generally too. Anyway. Noticed there's a metallic noise when I turn the chain by hand, is it something to worry about? Made a little video, hopefully you can hear what I mean. [ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eZgxQI9PDxE]YouTube - 372xp noise[/ame] Also does anyone know a good website to get genuine Husqvarna spare parts from? Things like mufflers and sprocket covers? & guide bars and chains... Thanks
  6. Paid more than USA but less than UK shops. Fact is you cant get it from the USA any more so if you want one you've got to spend a bit more
  7. I've ended up getting one off a member on here. Should be getting delivered today if the courier gets its act together but that's another story!
  8. As impressive as it is that's a disaster waiting to happen working at that kind of speed. I really don't like band saws. I'm surprised they are legal?
  9. Depends on the size of the bag?
  10. I had a reply from someone at Amazon that didn't really say much. Just said something like sorry you haven't been able to make the purchase, this item is not available for delivery to the UK. Please order from Amazon UK... must have cottoned on to people buying them for cheap from America instead of the UK.
  11. lol I've been using my Amazon UK details on the Amazon US site. It will let me order an X25 but not an X27. Got to be something to do with the X27 being longer. Frustrating!
  12. I've emailed them to see what they say about it. I literally only get as far as the delivery address page and it says that item can't be delivered to my address. The pay duty box you are on about must be on the payment page which I can't even get as far as. Fancy buying one for me?
  13. Just reading through the help section on Amazon and it's basically because the X27 is too long for them to post to the UK. They will post an X25 but I'm bothered it's going to be too short...? There is no way I am paying UK prices now I have seen how cheap they are in America.
  14. Approx. 14m3. I'll have to store the rest in vented bulk bags and log nets with the top covered with tarps, maybe build another shelter at some point. Obviously will keep re-filling the shelter as I sell it. I'm not turning over huge quantities. I've done the throw it in a big pile thing and found out about the mould problem before
  15. I can't order the X27 either because of my address! I'm wanting the X27 & X7 but don't want to pay the UK prices...
  16. Are they single use bags really then? Turns out expensive if they are
  17. Quite a decent size that. Do you think you will have issues with mould in the centre of the pile when it's full? Part of the reason I went for long and narrow was that this way I know I won't get any mould in the stack.
  18. The ones MCA Kingstone sell on eBay seem to be cheaper than anywhere else I have seen
  19. Anyone had any experience with them? Like the look of the PTO driven log splitters but no prices listed online. BGU Machinery [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8vAOQ3dh5M]Hidraulinis skaldytuvas, skaldykl? BGU maschinen USP 13 H-5.mpg - YouTube[/ame]
  20. Used large pallets for the floor. The frames are made from 3x2
  21. Looks like they have some nice kit. But quite slow?
  22. Cheers for the input I'll have to have a look how others compare for size and price. This is looking at them from the other side
  23. Finished. Seemed to end up with a few ripples on the front fascia after the rest of it going so smoothly. Not the end of the world though. Just got to fill it now! Knocked up a little frame for filling log nets too instead of spending £220 on one of those metal tilting log devices. Seems to work well. Any ideas on how much I should sell the bags for? They are 850mm x 520mm. You can get about 20 logs in a bag. I was thinking £6?
  24. Ditto the above. How much did it cost?
  25. Lovely stuff. Where did you get the bulk bags from? Look like they are vented ones too. Cheers.
