  1. these fold down to the size of a breifcase but 3 times as wide and heavy, they have mega rubber on the base so don't slide in the back and i have a liner so it's slippy, i put steps in back dog in cab then swap when we get him out so they dong get nicked, hope this helps cheers
  2. I got them from big dog world, based here in u.k., i seriously wished i had them years ago, my mate has blown his Left crutiate ligaments but still can walk up the steps, otherwise taking him out would be a no go, i had to rent a transit van to get him to the vet and the vet dealt with him in the van, i can't help think maybe if i had these earlier he may not have sustained the injury, these are the biggest they do but i needed the width, cost about £260 delivered, if u are in the midlands and want to try them then more than happy for you to give them a try, cheers
  3. Hi eggs, sorry just found the thread and saw your question, no i have no connection to the company, just got kent some by a mate and they worked great
  4. Sorry wes i was defining clutter as stuff that serves no purpose and spaced out as the way i can only see 5 topics on my phone screen as the lines are spaced wide apart and that's in condensed as peatff mentioned, do you think you could get away with just a title and not who has replied, as i said better on pc ?
  5. Thanks for that peatff, i just tried that and its much better, i also should have mentioned iam viewing on i phone, i have just logged in via the pc and it looks much better, obviously as the screen is much bigger ! doh, its completly different on the pc so i guess there is hope yet, its just a shame most (95%) of the time iam on the phone version, i am going to keep on messing and hopefully i will find my way round, cheers for the tip, i like things powered by steam, diesel, or wood !
  6. Sorry to say iam struggling with this new layout, it's got too much clutter and it all seems spaced out, it's difficult to navigate and seems to have more areas, iam not your typical user in that i don't do facebook etc etc, i feel it needs to be compressed so you can see more areas on the screen, iam sure i will get more used to it but atm i am struggling , just att the picture that was better than expected so that's one big positive, any tips anyone has would be much appreciated cheers
  7. My mate is getting older and struggling with a leg injury, i bought these and he took to them instantly, he is about 9 stone, wish i had bought them years ago, i think he does too, they are strong as hell i even walked up them, they fold closed like a big brief case, very impressed
  8. 550 is a weapon, punches well above it weight, however if you want to deal with bigger stuff 18 inch up you need a bigger saw, if i have 12 inch or bigger i go for the 441
  9. Ranger T6 has been good for us, have had rangers for over 20 years, we have a small business fleet and we are due to change two of them in the next month, Ford need to sort out the lead time been waiting 8 months for one, have to say we were concerned about the oil pump recall for transit on the 2.2 however Ford would not rework them however we had no failures, they have done 80k each in 4 years, mega vehicles, however if we suffered some of the issues people have on here we would go Toyota in a heartbeat, i think getting a good dealer is key, we use Jacksons Ford in henley in arden, they are superb and have a depth of experience that has meant we have never been left without a vehicle, i know they have some very important fleet customers and take plenty of referrals from other dealers, that said they are multiple british champions
  10. I agree with Kindlett, and the quality is superb, good resale value too
  11. Thanks big J, i read your posts ref your 800 with great interest, it's not going to see loads of use which is why i thought if i can find s good used one it would offer a good saving and prob get a higher spec, but i take on board your comments, do you think you will be selling your 800 anytime soon ? if you are let me know depending on price it could be right up my street, i have asked TM in poland if they have any used stock but they have referred me back to u.k. agent. What bits have needed to be welded? cheers
  12. Hi all been looking at the Trak met sawmills they look well built, does anyone know of one for sale, pretty flexible on spec but would like hydraulics, many thanks
  13. Those bags look great, I have looked at this, I was able to make the charcoal and it was good stuff, however the cost of the bags was just too much, what sort of ball park figure do you think based on say a small qty of 100 ? and did they come with one end already sewn
  14. thanks for that richard, good to hear from someone who has owned and used these.
  15. Mate of mine is after a hilux, old shape like about 1995, has anyone owned these or know of one for sale ? and are they any good?
  16. There are lots of benefits to a bit of kit like this and iam not going to list them all here but for me this thing is a game changer, it's automatic, once that infeed conveyor is loaded up you just oversea what's going on, the output is superb, and as people said it's rare anything stops it, i have the bagging shoot, so have been able do a few nets of kindling and logs, in my first year from a standing start and no advertising i did 5000 nets mix of kindling and logs, now i only do this two days a week, everyone who uses this machine likes it, i like it as it's very safe so i can let others get involved and with a few basic rules like don't put you hand in there, since buying this my thor is sat in corner gathering dust, now mines the older 360 so 10 inch max length, the 400 is a bit bigger i think and that would be a better move, but the 360 takes 10 inch max and it is like a quality control in itself think the 400 is 13 inch but might be wrong, hope this helps, i think fuelwood do a try b4 u buy deal, here's a pic of what i split on Sunday in about an hour
  17. Thanks for that i have sent him a messsge, cheers for your help
  18. cheers for that mr woody, i had a look but can't seem to find it, don't really know my way facebook, any chance of a linky?
  19. That sounds great kindlett or should i say autosplit ? have u sold the kindlett ? and would you rent this out ?
  20. that's good info, thanjs for that, iam kinda hoping that a few trade ins appear as a result of the promo and release of the 450.
  21. My old man had one go into his eyeball, dead centre of the pupil, all the fluid was pumping out, you could see it, luckily we knew where the eye hospital was, straight there they said you will loose the eye here is the lady who will paint your glass one for you ! they said you could try an injection into the eye with antibiotics i think it was patch up and in the morning we will know more, he did not loose it but it's a bit lazy, take care with that hedging.
  22. have a look at a splitta 400, if you are going to ring it with a chainsaw or tilt table saw then that machine will give u an abundance of great size logs, i have the older 360 it's virtually unstoppable, you will be surprised by how unfussy the machine is, as long as it fits in then it will split it even the most gnarly and dirty looking stuff seems to surrender, we cut and stack on pallets then have a day feeding it through, even 800mm dia rings which we knock in half go through, i still have to lift the rings into the machine though which is ok but when there's lots you know you've done it. i don't have an outfeed conveyor
  23. You cannot see it in the pictures but the 4 way has a little wedge on the underside, looked like it works really well from what i saw, if u think 4 way is only about 6 / 7 inch once it's upto 8/9 upto 14 the it's going 8 ways, think its a no brainer for me. Goto be honest i do not know how people must keep changing the knives on machine that don't have a hydraulic selecta knife set up, it must drive them crackers
