  1. It was this thread that got me worried, cheers for the info on towing capacity. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/arb-trucks/102350-ranger-dealer-woes.html
  2. Was looking at upgrading my 08 ranger to the new model. Didn't know of the issues till I searched through here. Is it as bad as some members have found or were these vehicles just lemons? I will be towing an Ifor williams 8x5 tipper a lot of the time so need at least 2.7t towing capacity.
  3. I read the title of the thread quickly and thought it said staff!
  4. Where will all this red tape end. These rules are getting ridiculous.

As a matter of interest what kind of weight is in the header?
  6. That's true, being economical with the truth can have its benefits.
  7. Good information in that link, from those examples it appears that you don't need it once you're carrying saws, climbing gear and other equipment but once you are carrying logs or chipping that you are selling on then you will need a cpc.
  8. I'll be following this with interest, I have been doing the cpc courses each year since they came in but it's more that I don't want to loose it, you never know when you may need it in the future. Anyway this year I asked the trainer about whether somebody who's main job wasn't driving and his take on it was that if you drove to the job, spent the day on site and drove home you were exempt but if you had to drive around during the day to more than one site then you need a cpc.
  9. Have a supercab ranger myself, after seeing your handy work I think I'll attempt something similar. Do you find much you use much more diesel with the bulky body on the back, is worth sloping the front a bit?
  10. That's a really neat job, very impressive. As a matter of interest how high above the original sides is it and roughly how much chip does it hold.
  11. Hi, sorry to drag up an old thread, just wondering Treefolk, how did you fair out with the child seats in te ranger. Was it a runner or did you go for a proper crew cab. Thanks
  12. That's a great photo. Best of luck with the rodeo, hard to get the old 3L isuzu's around these parts these days.
  13. Looks the business, well done
  14. Would a bead of silicone or tec7 stop the electrolysis
  15. What is the idea of the rubber? Is it to stop rattles?
