  1. the shop mentioned a hot start mod for the 540t like they did on the 560 , does yours have that and the new spring as mine has not , only found out last week about them
  2. the one next to the tank its the second modded spring as the first new springs still snapped , so thats three different springs out there that are fitted to 560s . my shop only found out by looking at a new saw as husky didnt tell them about it . great isnt it
  3. a mate only a week ago got his 560 back with a new oil pump fitted under warranty , by the afternoon same day he was back at the shop as it had stopped oiling . he has had two clutch centers fracture as well . when mine fractured it took the crank with it , another guy i know lost his crank too after clutch went . these saws arent tested before they go on sale by the right people . simple as . how many 560 users out there have the latest antivibe spring . its oval shaped . many will be on the old type if not used heavy because no one tells you about the mods
  4. feel for you bud 560s drive you insane if you do forestry work , no more huskys for me ever again too
  5. been using the echo 620 a week now and found that , the saw was running a bit lean ,maybe for emissions .so removed red caps on carb and retuned a bit richer for now . the air cleaner system works really well as filter getting very little crap on it unlike the 560xp which was letting crap through and into the carb body .the saw always starts very easy again not like the 560 which can sometimes be a pig to start . the saw came with dogs on the chain casing which were getting in the way for snedding so removed them as one dog does the job .also got rid of the oregon chain and put a stihl chain on . well happy with it so far and we will get another as soon as the other 560 is sold which we have found has a bust starter casing , the same old problem of the palls bending . my cs 360tes is waiting to be picked up as the 540xp is going as well . just found out that husky have two mods for the 540 ,but they dont tell you . the last time our 560 went to husky themselves for repair it came back with the same bust casing on it went in with . strange but true . sorry about the husky rant but the past 3 years with them has been one trip to the shop after another , there will be no more . had two echo 510s around 2007 for about 3 years one of which is in our local tool hire shop and still going. between the two i needed a brake band and air filter and plugs . i will update in a month or so cheers guys
  6. hi guys just got an echo cs620sx today after our third 560xp latest probs , clutch carb and ignition this time . so far 7 weeks in dealers out of 11 months since new. echo out of the box is holding its speed better than 560xp in 18 inch cuts yes 560 revs up quicker when not cutting , but if anything the echo seems faster when cutting as the husky slows up a little when you lean on each saw and make them work . this is with the spark arrester still on the echo and it is not run in yet . the echo clutch seems very robust and quick power mate change is possible as husky requires electric or air tool to get clutch off . i will put at least 25 tanks through the echo next week and let you guys know how it performs as a money making saw
  7. <p>echo 620sx .with my new 560xp spending 7 weeks out of 11 months in a workshop its going . got the echo today and out of the box its putting out good power, lean on the husky in the cut and it slows slightly but not the echo . it keeps its speed and its a close call which is cutting quicker . the husky revs up faster but doesnt seem faster in the cut . i will remove the spark arrester and once run in will expect more power . clutch looks very strong and quick to remove and saw seems well put together . will give it a week and let you guys know how its going</p>

  8. been handcutting since 89 mixed with arb since 2002 most arb lads are taught at college then work with other lads taught the same way which it seems is poor , never met many arb lads that can be bothered to sharpen chains as most dont care really and will push on with a blunt saw . cutters get taught by older cutters mostly and so learn rule number one never cut with a blunt saw . mine gets a mild wipe every fill to keep its edge . i know 3 men who cut in there 60s two almost 70 .never met an arb lad older than 51
  9. Hi just to let you all know we have the following available saw logs in spruce, larch and Corsican pine in whatever lengths you require logs, pallet, etc. softwood chip for biomass or for firewood and hardwood also . this will be ongoing on various jobs in co Durham the north-east. pm me for prices and haulage info cheers. 07989556848 Mike / Northern logs
  10. pm,ed you before twice and never got a reply ,whether you want someone or not a reply is the least you can do when wanting cutters and you get a message back . a few people on here like that , ignorant really dont you think
  11. haha a mans got to know his limitations , stupid considering the size and being so close to a house
  12. hi i hae a lot of probs with my 2012 560 , but now have 2 2014 560 new fuel oil caps new exhaust and all probs seem to have been addressed , both are running great 15 inch 325 8 pin
  13. good skill and just having fun for a while and why not , way above your average cutter on most clips
  14. to give a valid opinion you need to have owned all 3 saws ie the 200t 201t and the t540xp for at least 6 months before you post on here dont you think . so imo the t540xp maybe not as strong in build quality as the 200t but good power and why buy a second hand thrashed unknown saw which is a gamble in anyones book .
  15. we all get our knocks and bumps in life to test us along the way but most things are not as bad as they first seem , this site is probably not the place to discuss this problem . so good luck to chris and connor .
  16. Had mine a year and a half now and its still unreliable latest things are new throttle cable and throttle trigger and now it wont tick over for much more than a minute , they also don't honor the 2 year warranty because the shop i bought it from didn't register it from new . i have always asked for a new saw or refund but with no joy maybe the 2014 ones will be sorted now
  17. 5.2 all day long 5.5 dont really fit well from new as they are better for 404 chain in my experiance
  18. Hi will have 26 ton of hardwood for sale next Friday in the Co Durham area, birch sycamore and some oak . pm me for details
  19. remove it as i did on my 560 and 540 they will pick up ever so slightly better , not needed here
  20. Hi to all i have some lodge pole pine 3 meter lengths available by the artic load approximately 100 tons still to come out from a windblow site some trees have been cut off and left for almost a year while others were still standing and dead so 50% of lengths available has a moisture content of 20% or less so makes great fire wood, location County Durham. Also available 3-400 ton of good quality spruce very light in branch so great saw log material, location upper Weardale county Durham. pm me for more details and thanks for taking the time to read:001_smile:
  21. the 440 is a weapon and bombproof
  22. hi guys anyone know where i can buy an echo cs620 from . looked on net with no joy . cheers
  23. they wont give me a new one and i dont want one yes its fast but i still say its not for pro use . new crank , exhaust , both side casings, 2 clutches , hot start mod , lost count of av springs, snapped the plastic tool in cylinder when trying to get the clutch off and now the carb . who wants that when the warranty runs out , the fuel and downtime costs are silly
  24. my 560xp has been a nightmare 10 or 11 times its broke now . at the moment still at shop been in 3 weeks again , some thing broke on the carb only has half throtle now . when its back im selling it even the saw shop advised that . i will get another echo as they dont go wrong in my exp
