1. hi pm me as i have some good lodgepole pine available cheers
2.
hi are you looking for softwood as we will be cutting some lodgepole pine from monday aprox 2 or 3 hundred ton mostly been cut off a year ago so very dry . cheers mike

3. blimey and i thought i had problems with mine
4. you say you hope to cut it and it will brush off the wires while they are live , come on dude . you wont be on any hv shutdown without the codes and tickets , and that alone should ensure you know better than to hope it goes right . stick to the rules and be safe thats all im getting at dude
5. its a shutdown simple as , cant see them doing a shutdown and letting joe bloggs do the work without the right training and tickets . which you cant have.as you asked a silly question . make a mistake and it could be your last as **** happens. sorry dude thats the way i see it
6. i agree with you fully , just spent a week up fortwilliam and as far as ullapool . for you guts where you work and live stihls policy does not work very well at all . they will lose customers to husky and others
7. dont think putting petrol on your skin regular is a good idea dudes
8. hi re the t540xp done about a gallon of fuel now ,ash prune , logs , brashed some pine out, felled some 20 inch spruce with it to get to know the saw a bit. once started its ready to work just like a ms 200, unlike a ms201 which can gasp alot while warming up and thinking about moving the chain round , you can push it in a cut alot before you can bog it down again unlike a 201. chain tensioner seems stiff maybe just needs more useage , and the eye for the tool strop seems a bit flimsy . dont think it will take a lot of knocks about in the tree like a 200 will . nearly got a stihl 150 then saw this so hope it turns into the right choice . oh and the air filter cover is a bugger to refit till i get the hang of it
9. just hot water and rub its will ball up and drop off most of it , use soap and it seals it on . simple but it works for me
10. hi got mine on friday done two tanks so far pickup is very good from the start unlike the stihl 201 . it sounds uneven if you rev it out unloaded but in a cut its very strong and doesnt bog down , again like the stihl 201, it does not look as strongly built as the 200 but they are not available anymore so we must move on . i have had both the 200 and the 201 so can tell the differance from experiance not heresay . but time will tell once its bedded in a bit , it has not got the new filling caps aka the stihls . oh i removed the spark arrester to aid exhaust system . cheers
11. mine get five or six fills five days a week every week the saw is huskys flagship pro saw and when used like it it breaks alot . it seem a few users who dont give the saw as much use dont want to accept this saw is flawed . i have better things to do than take it to the shop constantly and then go back to pick it up again . i trully wish i had never seen the thing , husky wont refund me but will keep fixing it instead they have already way overun what i paid for it in the first place . not jumping on you bud just saying cheers
12. so do you think husky made a hot start problem mod in the form of the fuel line mod ie the removal of a pipe and a red and a green plug fitment for the fun of it then , they made it because they know there is a problem as they did with the better av spring .
13. my local shop is doing the fuel tank mod , ie remove one of the 3 fuel pipes and plug it to 550xps now . i saw a 555 the other day that after the initial pop on choke then refused to start till we removed the air filter. its an autotune aswell . very stange they just flood , but if you just prime them they wont start .
14. hi my saw got no new coil or hotter plug . they removed a pipe from the tank vent and blocked it with a little green plug which is visable and that was it . shop said it is to pressurise the tank . just got it back friday after repair again . on its third clutch now . ran it on 20 inch on 325 and it pulls it great . just not reliable enough , it breaks again im selling it
15. hot start kit is only blocking off fuel tank vent to pressurise the tank , that is what mine got its a 2012 , husky wont refund me , and mine has broken down 8 times
16. when i was on the powerlines tree cutting you need teams of three , one to tend casualty , bleeding , shock etc the other to get help . so if you are in the woods two of you , phones probably in truck so it dont get smashed , your steming the blood flow because its bad and you cant leave your mate . so who gets the phone then , or gets more help. with just two your still in big trouble . i worked with a guy who is six foot four and 17 stone i wouldnt be carrying him far would i . so on a good note lets just be as safe as we can with what you have at work guys
17. i work alone 2/3 days a week and it dont bother me , thats the job we do in forestry i actually prefer it , if i screw up so be it ,we will all die sometime , in various ways never when it suits us . before you slate me , your mate is cutting 100 yards away while you are on the ground bleeding out , he cant hear your screams hes working more than two tree lengths away. so yes you are along . its a dangerous job and some of us like it that way . and yes i worked with someone who was killed by a tree , a man broke his arm , a man burst his eye , another badly cut his arm , another cut his wrist ,and ive had more than a handfull of close shaves . its that type of job .
18. hi ian where you working at at the moment , your main interest forestry then dude . a good start by the way .
19. Hi guys it's a week or so since I got my 560 back after a new exhaust, spring, side casing, hot start mod ect. I said I would let you know when it broke again, it did 2 days ago. The clutch spring broke so the shop replaced all 3 and that . clutch is only 3 months old as already replaced before . its lasted 2 days, broke 1 of the new springs again! Shop seems to think there is too much play in the clutch drum, I do grease the bearing 2/3 times a week. They also have another 560 in that needs a new crank due to clutch cracking, the saw is 3 months old . going to ask husky rep for refund now, its just not reliable . both mine and the other saw are used fulltime in forestry but they are just not up to it .
20. sorry guys to be negative but porting wont cure springs snapping exhausts cracking and clutches destroying the crank or starter casing breaking . when its fixed i will do a happy dance on a log but lets see how long till i break it again . its a shame its a real animal when it goes .
21. hi the saw shop is only 500 yards away from this job thank the lord , the old ms 440 was pressed into action today haha , the last time i through a saw i snapped the chain brake off bugger lol
22. itis a 2012 its 9 months old i think they came out in 2011
23. send it back if you use it you will eventually go to a dealer with it to be fixed , its like the stihl 201t not really up to it the people who get no probs re not working them hard enough simple as .
24. ok this is my time with the 560xp its 9 months old and get used hard 5 days a week solid , 3 antivibe springs new crankshaft , clutch , clutch bearing . will not start if its a warm day unless i take the air fillter off as it floods . husky rep says it now needs new starter casing , new brake band ,new ignition remap ,new parts for carburettor ,timing gap checked , oh and a new exhaust as that has fractured too . the down time is silly if you are thinking of getting one dont it will let u down unless you are a casuall user who doesnt expect much of it , for a pro its rubbish , yes it cuts fast when running but when its running. tomorow its back to a trusty ms 440 which never lets me down. this saw was sent out without enough hard testing before release in my opinion . cheers dudes
25. Sorry to hear that very sad news
