  1. 560 with Sugihara lightweight pro bar . get an 8 pin drive sprocket and remove the spark arrestor screen .
  2. So how can you let your saw idle for 2-3 mins if its stalling on idle ??
  3. and say " Do you feel lucky punk ? ..well do ya ? "
  4. You try telling the youth of today ..they wont believe you ...
  5. The idling that you speak of I think refers to the Stihl models that actually have the first generation Husky A/T . It certainly does not need doing on my 560 . You just pick it up , start it , and cut . If you want it ti idle it will but its not compulsory ! I quite obviously dont know jack sheet compared to you but my saw must be different .
  6. You don't need to reset the A/T daily ! I have had my 560 from 2011 and only ever did it once . Just fire it up and get cutting . : Oh and it idles fine whenever I need it to but certainly don't let it idle for 2-3 mins !001_smile:
  7. That horrible damp cold Jon . COME ON YOU QUINS !
  8. At a stab ...waxed pine .
  9. Been 2 separate threads already . I was involved in felling some biguns just recently . Two big forwarding trailer loads . The owner had one horse die and one ill for sometime . Not much you do can other than keep them separate . The more grass they have the less chance they have of ingesting the keys but too much grass is also bad for them . Horses and boats ! Money pits !
  10. No and Yes .
  11. Its the regeneration cycle for the particulate filter ....Oh no thats the D Max
  12. For me the 576 seemed pointless . Miniscule amount more power than a 372 but a lot extra weight . Nearly as heavy as a 385 but not as much power as a 385 .
  13. Split impulse hose from dropping on the strop ? Only stretches a small amount .
  14. Can he see tonight's winning lotto numbers ?
  15. Its a Bum tree
  16. 372 vote here .....

  18. Make him do all his bucking (on he ground ) cutting only 2 thirds through max Then make him roll the log . Maybe he will see that little bit of extra effort saves a lot of time in the long run making dust with a dull chain .
  19. + me for dead standing elm
  20. The sensible way .
  21. The above quote is from my agent/stalker come best mate who I have not yet met !
  22. Different disciplines . After a days climbing you can be totally fecked . After a day hand cutting on a 45 degree slope you can be totally fecked . As for sharpening , each and every one will sharpen up to how it works for them . The only difference I have noticed is Forest tend to put a little more hook on their chains .
  23. A tree surgeon who I like and get on with will not even quote if he sees some one else giving a quote as he arrives . The potential customer had arranged to get 3 quotes and we were there as this other chap turned up . The customer said please can you wait and give me a quote the tree surgeon said " No , I can see you are being taken care off " turned round and went . I do like the guy and he gets plenty of work .
  24. Love it all
  25. Lets just send him to Opie Oils TCD . Let peruse the catalog....
