  1. Have you taken it to your dealer for a diagnosis ? Might just want the A./T re setting ?
  2. There is of course "pressure die casting " Like a plastic molding machiene only with hot metal , as opposed to pouring into a sand mold . .
  3. Interesting Matty . Got all my Sugis not long before I retired from full time cutting so probably will never get to that stage . What would you recommend instead ?

    Ticking Hilux!

Don't suppose its related but I had a loud ticking noise at idle ( suppose that's why its called tickover ? ) on my Navara . Really sounded metallic . Turns out it was one or all of the "V" belts . Replaced them and it was gone ..
  5. So . A fixed penalty , per tree of bonkers money could be the answer . Its not ambiguous or open to interpretation . Its X amount no quibble .
  6. Don't misunderstand me Edward , I am not on the side of the scrotes that transgress . It just needs making clearer and then following up on what the punishment is . If there was a fixed penalty ( a lot higher than is being dished out currently ) then it might serve as a deterrent . At the moment " a fine " does not seem to be cutting it ( pardon the pun )
  7. OK . So why don't they clobber the perpetrators then ? . Coz clearly they don't unlimited or not .
  8. All my saws wear the Sugi Pro light type bar . Can recommend them They hardly ever need dressing . The steel is very hard . Does not seem to burr over like other bars .
  9. Ah . I did not appreciate what " fly ash " is . Yes I do have a slight hazing on the glass . Looks worse when the stove is not alight . When burning it is not so intrusive . It is also double glazed .
  10. OK was not too sure . I don't get ash sticking to the glass though .
  11. At this rate soon you will need a gun to even buy a chipper ?
  12. If you look inside you will see 2 rows of small holes on the box section that the top baffle plate shelf is welded to . This I believe is the air wash and should work all the time . The other holes are ( looking at the front ) on the left side at the rear pointing forward , then on the left front pointing from left to right , then on the right front pointing to the back . These create the " vortex type swirl you can see with the flame . the air wash holes create the downward flame onto the glass . All the air enters through these holes when the door is shut . I don't get what you describe in my Burley .
  13. Sounds a bit fishy to me . Some kind of a red herring ? ?
  14. I've never had any problems starting any of my Makita / dolmar saws. Something strange there I think. Yea . There is something wrong with it .
  15. Sorry was that not meant to be in the public domain ?
