Time served tool maker C+G engineering cert back in the day so I understand the mechanics of it . I know you like to be a bit pedantic about the cause but " stretch " is a convenient term for most ordinary Joes to convey whats happened . I hate it when people say some thing is " hydroscopic " when in fact its hygroscopic ( as in nylon absorbing moisture . 🙂

I understand what you say Pleasant and I agree with you . I never used the word stretch , or even the word wear . I just say its got longer 🙂

I think any " waterproof / breathable " jacket is always a compromise . They lean towards one or the other . For keeping rain out you need oil skins for keeping cool its a string vest . .

Not so sure about this . I am a big fan of alkylate fuels but some 4 stroke engines still have rubber components in the fuel system so the same reasoning could apply .

Think he is " square " filing a square ground full chisel chain . You attack it from the outside as opposed to from the inside as you do with a round ground full chisel chain .

Yes its at the very back mounted on the rear anvil and central to the center line . I can see it above the tail gate of my truck .
