  1. Its another Zomax-alike . Fake as f--k . Those boots/wellies are the most uncomfortable things I have ever worn . I bought some about 10 years ago , god knows why . Bloody awful things !
  2. Seller has kept all his transactions " private " All the loosing bidders were the lucky ones . some poor mug has spent £312 on a £3.12p saw .
  3. Was about to say the same as Alec . Its a ripping cut . You tend to get long strings rather than the chips you get when cross cutting . Sounds like your chain is dull if you get dust .
  4. A bit extreem but if you want to save the innocent punters put in a silly bid to be sure you win it then refuse to pay stating that you later were advised it was a fake . There is no way of contacting the winning bidder untill the transaction is complete but if they pay with pay pal they can get a full refund on the grounds that the item is not " as described " Buit they will have to put a claim in and go through all the hassel .
  5. I reported it yesterday as well . fleabay don't give one as long as they get their dosh . Done it soo many times . Contact seller and tell them you know its a fake . Some times they are inocent . Sometimes they even amend the listing to say " it might be a copy " but ebay don't care.
  6. Its down . Chogged to about 3/4 of the way down . then felled about a 10 foot stretch then felled the remainder on to that . Not pretty to look at but it went were we aimed it . Phew .
  7. Once you have sorted the assembly of the clutch components the simple way to tighten it is to run the saw up and snap the chain break on .
  8. Don't mean to keep on but please learn how to sharpen . It will save you a lot of arse ache believe me . Good luck with your purchase what ever it be .
  9. Oh yea , in a minuet someone is going to mention PPE and college oh I just did !
  10. Ok. I don't think you are an idiot, far from it ! but get someone who knows what they are talking about to teach you how to sharpen up . A cheap B+Q saw that is razor sharp is worth more to you at that moment in time than the best pro saw if the pro saw is blunt .
  11. I disagree ( in a friendly way ! ) I think a blunt chain is a blunt chain be it semi chis , micro chis or full . Once you get damage and loose the edge you are fighting it . I do think , however that full chisel cuts faster soooo get full chisel and keep it sharp !
  12. Yep took one out of a snare once . Had to poke a stick at it to attack just to get the snare off . Totally shredded the stick ! Would not argue with one .
  13. I can see where this is going _ _ _ 560 ! !
  14. To be honest I don't know . never having used one . I have a 346xp ( ported and tuned by spud ) and that would be more than you need . The way I see it you should get the best saw you can afford rather than up grading several times when you see/find/are told of, something better . Also a properly sharpened chain counts for a hell of allot . You godda know how to to do that . Apologies if you can sharpen up ok .
  15. Sorry late in on this one but I agree with the"if it is done properly and the tree is healthy" a crown lift as described is totally fine . Think how a beech hedge is rashered with a hedge cutter ? . If it was a willow and you felled it 2 inches from the ground it would most likely sprout again . If you did that to a beech most likely it would not ! ! but this ---- all fine .
  16. There you go ! Welcome to the forum by the way .
  17. Its probably way better than your Draper / Mountfield stuff. I think its a small semi pro type saw. Although I use mostly Husky saws mine are all pro saws ( X.P.) . Some one will come along with a definative answer shortly I am sure .
  18. I use the husky front protection only with the sip vents in the back of the leg and on each bum cheek . I know its not all round protection but I would not ware anything else now . Those back vents make a huge difference . I think they are called Husqvarna Technical .
  19. A 50/50 mix of Larks vomit and Badger piss works well
  20. I had a similar problem with my 560 . It was cured by fitting the next up hotter plug . This was done on Husqvarna technicals recomendation . Worth a try ?
  21. As said I take the spark arrester out straiot away . There is a bloke in the U,S. who mods them heavly . I asked him about the auto tune etc and he sai not a problem .He is into porting and ceramic bearings and the like . He had a 346 on ebay a while back and it was like a formular one car in the detai l . So yes is the answer .
  22. I was trying to say what spud says . 25p to me and spud me thinks !
  23. I think an Einhell i a Zomax , just rebadged like all the others ------
