  1. Thanks for that.... my local NH dealer seems to know nothing about it
  2. Hi Just wondered if anyone had come across this or knew when it would be available.... price / spec etc??
  3. Cheers.... PM sent!
  4. I've just used 3 sections of elm to form a fire surround..... Looks great. Was planning to use oak but I thought the elm had nicer grain and patterns to it. Spent a lot of time sanding it down and then used Fiddes wax.... Working it in with wire wool. My sections were 8"x 8" for the uprights and 12"x 8" for the mantle. First time we lit the stove all sections split a little but now to be honest it looks even better. Not sure if it will continue to crack and split?? Good luck with what you do
  5. That's exactly what I bought.... See above Great machine.... Practising as much I can!!
  6. Cheers.... Yes the site is great and what sold the place to us..... The house needed quite a bit of work.... I'll post a pic showing the property from a different view
  7. I didn't know that... Thanks for the info. Hopefully it will last my lifetime?
  8. Thank you and no you are not I'm learning on the 'hoof' so to speak, mostly from reading and asking questions in ARBTALK Bought this place (to be honest) without truly realising just how much work is involved in a place like this with 12 acres... I now love my chainsaw (and any other machinery I can lay my hands on). I have a full time job so this place has become my full time hobby!!!
  9. Yes I am.... although protected by trees it does get windy up here so some bracing was on the list.... I've gone overkill on the roof trusses as well.... 1 every metre!!
  10. This is where the shed sits in the field.... I managed to get 300 scots pine trees all about 1m high at a really good price (you may be able to see some of these planted in the pic?) eventually the wood shed will be hidden by the woodland.... should be a nice place to cut and store my wood that spot gets the sun all day!!
  11. Thanks Silky..... yeah I'll post pics as I progress
  12. Got the top rail on and cleared up some soil from the hole boring. The structure feels very solid now. Next job will be a middle and bottom rail. Once the shed is finished I'll scape the ground and put down about 150mm of sub-base 1.... I hope once compacted this should give me a good floor 2.7m high x 3.2m wide openings at the front.
  13. Started work on a new wood shed this weekend. Opted for a size of 10m x 6m with a 1.2m overhang at the front. Managed to bore 950mm x 400mm holes for the larch posts.... these are now concreted in
  14. Also been looking at the T3040.... Really looking for a large compact sizer tractor with a loader that could lift a ton? Interested in your thoughts? Thanks in advance
  15. Very neat work in what look... not the best of ground conditions.... Always nice to see a great looking job!!
  16. I have a Grillo FX20 zero turn mower.... it gets into the tightest of places and has a super multching facility. I have an area of near bowling green quality lawn and this machine does a perfect job on it.... no signs of any grass left on top.
  17. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this particular model please? Anything at all good or bad? Thanks in advance
  18. I would definitely use a 904/904 grade liner.... for the price difference it will last twice as long. Also, insulate it.... either use rockwool tubes around the liner or fill the void between liner and chimney with insulation like vermiculite. If you use the rockwool tubes I would also insulate above the register plate with a couple of slabs of rockwool. You don’t have to insulate but if you do 1. It will ensure you don’t get sooty goo dripping down into your stove 2. You want lose as much heat and more will go into the room I hope this helps and good luck
  19. I have a B3030.... fantastic bit of kit. PX'd a BX2350 for her. Only thing I would wish for is that the loader could lift a ton!!
  20. Cheers for that.... I'll check it out
  21. Nearest dealer is 100 miles or so from me so sadly no BJ for me!!
  22. Having decided to buy a Takechi TB016 digger, I now need a trailer. Can anyone suggest the best IW trailer for the job please? I'm not really sure of the differences between the IW's Plant trailers... GP, GH or GX? Thank in advance for any advice
  23. Well guys its taken me long enough but finally done a deal with Jim at JMS on a Takeuchi TB016 Cannot wait to get it now Thanks for all the advice
  24. Thanks to you all for the info
