  1. Thanks GH... wife's turn next..... wall down in the kitchen, steel beam in and she gets the open plan kitchen / family room she has been after.... it's only fair!!!!
  2. I can only ditto what Eddie has already said.... we decided to invest in a Takeuchi TB016 late last year having hired one for a few months previous.... fantastic machines!!
  3. It's felt a bit like Christmas this week.... took delivery of some new kit from the guys at Kilworth.... a big applaud to them for actually making it all the way to me during the recent heavy snow.... infact the snow was so bad the tractor came off the trailer and had to tow the truck and trailer the last few miles!! and then if that wasn't enough I px'd my old quadbike for a shiny new polaris ranger diesel ATV.... feeling rather spoilt now Really delighted with both bits of kit!!
  4. We must really love Land Rovers to suffer the pain of driving one!!!
  5. I have in the past had both SWB and LWB defenders but recently I had a shot of a 2012 SWB hard top.... it felt super tight and the seat didn't seem to go back as far as I remember? Steering wheel touching the belly syndrone!! Please don't suggest surgery or diets.... I like my belly keeps me abs warm The seat goes back far enough in a station wagon for me but not in the hard tops.... are there any ways around this? Any mods? Thanks in advance
  6. :thumbup:Thanks guys.... great advice
  7. I'm looking to buy a rotating laser level kit.... any recommendations?? Ease of use would be important to me Just wondered what you guys use?? Thanks in advance
  8. Very sad to read this sorry... I hope you manage to come to terms with what happened soonest and wish you all the best. Very very sad!!
  9. Didn't really get the differences for the money difference accept the turn facility. Had a chat with GreenMech and pretty much settled on the quad chip now
  10. I used to own one that looked like this when we bought it Happy days!!
  11. Yeah it has needed quite a bit of work, but I'm quite fussy and like things to look nice and be efficient. We will have 2 wood burning stoves (only 1 just now) and a wood burning Esse range in the kitchen. Long term I'll put in a log burning boiler system
  12. Thanks... Here's the house
  13. I'm just looking to buy one.... had a quote from my local dealer. Also considering their new Arborist 150 (26HP version)... quote came in £1875 cheaper than the quad chip 160.
  14. This is the pop up I get now... only started today?? :confused1: Fine on my mac.... this is on my office PC
  15. I see Nene Overland offer a nice conversion..... But I suspect it would be very expensive from them
  16. Apologies if I'm hijacking this post slightly but on the subject of a new Land Rover 130 double cab with a tipping chip box or a 130 single cab with tool boxes and tipping chip box.... Who are the best suppliers of these? Thanks for any info
  17. Managed to get some more work done on the wood shed today
  18. The most recent new wall... completed
  19. Thanks re the dry stone walls.... I have blockwork walls, just finished another wall.... I'll post a pic in a sec!! Yeah its a polymer drainage channel that is set into the concrete.... I dug too large soakaways.... it's amazing just how much water comes off this size of roof in heavy rain
  20. So I had some steel roof sheeting for sale, guy calls me, asks the colour and I tell him it's forest green.... I also gave him the website where you can see the colour... He asks if I would accept £20 less as he is an hour away.... I explain that I have 4 people interested and I am already selling at half price so no I would not reduce it further. He drives to me and arrives without a trailer; then he tells me that I should have advised him that it was the wrong shade of forest green.... Then he asks if I would drop the price by £20... I say no again and he launches into a 'I cannot believe that you let me drive all that way for the wrong colour and now you won't even reduce the price'.... Using every tolerant bone in my body I just smiled and said goodbye. I called the second interested party and explained what had happened and that the steel was for still for sale... He was delighted, I'll hook up my trailer and be with you in an hour.... True to his word he arrives after 50 mins with cash, I show him the goods and he loves the shade of forest green We load all 20 sheets on his trailer and we notice he has a flat..... Trailer gets jacked up, wheel off, trip to tyre centre, puncture fixed He starts to drive out of my field and gets about 30 metres..... And then.... The other wheel disintegrates.... He cannot hear me calling out to stop.... The tyre rips off and the twisted hub digs itself down into deep mud Thank goodness this was the last day of 2012 and not the first day of 2013 On reflection I'm laughing but I'm sure that during it all I was speaking fluent French Happy New year to you all on Arbtalk.... And thank you for all the great advice you have offered me..... Cheers everyone
  21. Yeah that would be a great help... Many thanks!!
