  2. low and level, ill try and get a pic of mine on here, i used 2 inch thick wear plate off the bucket of a 30 ton quarry digger, got it milled to a point and housed it in a massive rsj expensive and hard work but i can split 2 feet deep timber and regularly load mine with a forklift, make it self loading too oh and have a table to catch what you split save your back... ill post a pic but i put a viper crane on it since and changed the drawbar to a permanent one....

  5. im heading to manchester early next month so worst comes to worst ill bring it over, the dealers are ridiculous in roi for times, i need it fixed soon, 150 stg sounds very reasonable for that, i want it as soon as possible but cant see my local lad having it inside a month judging by previous experience... thanks for the response though
  6. crossed my ms 660 with a 6910 john deere, inertia brake handle yoke broke in 2, front handle bent, frame slightly distorted.... pride in tatters, job half done.. on the upside i want to know if there is anyone reading who might know how much it would be to fix, ive the saw sitting for the night to check for leakages, has anyone ever got a wrap around handle like on the us model stihls? already on third beer and feeling stupid....
  7. i would go to a breaker and get a tank off a tipper and see, the ideal tank would have to be off a concrete truck, they have an in built radiator system...
  8. very popular cheap website in ireland and coming to the uk is done deal, i hope im not breaking rules by mentioning it, may be one to watch as were not that far apart

  14. hmm i am but im a bit away from you! i built one from awinch, gx honda engine tow behind with brakes and all, ah well!
  15. i dont mean to knock anyone elses gear, if it works for you, well and good! i seen an ad before where a guy was selling a pallet of 20 "stihl" saws for 87 euro each. my neighbour wound up with one, worked it for an hour and it packed in, no parts available in roi
  16. cant beat the original, seen afew people get stung with fake saws, if somethin seems too good to be true, it probably is!
  17. did you look into the back end of a timber truck? possibly the most cost effective way!
  18. plentiful in the uk, i just got a full grille surround over through a guy in ni it and a cab roof for 375 euro, the nose is like new though
  19. well i meant a crane and body, maybe a pin draw hitch, i know it would be extremely expensive to do any thing like a pto 3 point linkage job...
