Well, I was approaching meltdown when a lady jumped out delivering catalogues.. I tried to pull myself together and the best I could come up with was ' Hows work been'!!! straight from arbtalk!! :lol:

Im North of Ullapool, out on the West coast. You are right, not enough trees.

 

Im not a 'pro' though, just keep myself in firewood and clear a few trees from stands that were never thined out after planting.

Hi Mark, yes I did. I was receiving one as I was sending one and things seem to have gone a bit wrong. I have deleted all my messages bar 1 which i have put in a folder and its still flashing and also saying i have 1 notification.

Shut down everything, restarted, logged back in, have clicked on unread messages , pm's , nothing in my inbox still going.

The 80 i think with what he is saying is the hypotenuse of the triangle not the vertical length . The 20x80 you quote is the area of a rectangle.

The rectangle is not 80x40. Its 60x40.

If he divides his triangle in two from top to bottom to get 2 right angled triangles each he will get half of 10x30 in each triangle.

150+150=300 imo.

Give the lad a chance, was he trying really hard to impress? Guys new to tree work trying to keep up with old hands will rarely manage. If he was just being lazy forget it but if he worked himself sick sounds like he's keen.

I agree, no mention how he performed or the quality of his work for the other 2.5 days. I can remember having a bad day one scorching afternoon and i actually had to leave sight and dive into the nearest tescos to cool off.

If his attitude was off fair enough , your not looking for a hero remember just a good honest working lad.

Well the dealer provides the hydro for our area with saws so I guess they'd be used and abused but he does seem to favour husky, it just sounds as if it's down to personal preference and what your used to
