That would be priceless.
In all seriousness though, they are brilliant, i find long johns to baggy, synthetic baselayers to constrictive and smelly.
These are like a 2nd skin..
I wear under armour coldgear on my top half, expensive but superb in every way, and just to gain a few mansculinity points:biggrin:
Try close fitting silk ones then . Dry out very, very quickly.
P.S Watch you dont ladder them tights!!

Unbeatable for conifers.

Laughed at the thought of a dozen big tough lumberjacks outside topshop tomorrow
-
Goes without saying sawdust would have to be bone dry and white for shires , clydesdales.
-
Was sought after by people with horses that have got heavy feathering on their legs. Drying shires, clydesdales legs when wet is a nightmare and sawdust is brilliant.
Sorry it may be a long shot but you may have someone close by who would appreciate it.

I still think silk thermals hard to beat.
For the tootsies you could try Alpaca socks from Perilla. I got 2 pairs for xmas last year a black pair and a nice pink pair
There real quality.

Yip i stand corrected it is fully horse powered . There is much better videos of same machine on you tube showing in detail its full workings.
-
What was providing the power then?
Either petrol driven , battery i dont really know for sure.
After watching the video a few times the speed of the tracks is VERY constant , too constant especially when the suffolk looses its footing a little yet the tracks trundle on.
The Amish use machinery as you know only its horse drawn.

Getting wild here, I had to tie the trampoline down before it took off:biggrin:

A past girlfriend
MS200t beats 335/338
346XP beats MS260
The rest - ask others about!
Personally - working on Huskys makes me smile:thumbup:
Yeah in my dreams
Did you not see the beaver posts? very impressive
-
Could stand corrected here but i don't think the horse was providing the POWER . Seemed to me he was just using it to excercise the horse as a bonus.
Rickety machine and i dont think the horse was enjoying it either.

Forgot about our old friend the Swedish beaver .

Husky ground.
Stihl above ground.

but are there any trees that far north?
I've only been up that way a couple of times and its very barren and bleak.
Think there is one or two on here possibly further north than Inverness , would be interesting to know what trees actually flourish up there if any.
-
Far north pretty barren and treeless anyway.
West coast will be hit worst , will see what happens though .

Back in the eighties there was also work experience where your last ' subject'
on a Friday i think , was in the shop floor . It was not taken fully advantage of and seemed to die a death . Its funny to think things really do go full circle.

massive offence taken....will never speak to u again:001_tt2:
Full exoneration, I'm happy

Just read my first post on this and i feel using the word ' stupidity ' was not right and could be taken out of context. In no way do i refer to the people who use this system as such.
Apologies if any offence taken.

What i can remember the prussik was what you learned with and inevitably get comfortable with.
I looked for a change because by the time you add slack in your harness, mallion and then karabiner the prussik seemed to be at a very vulnerable position to be cut by your saw hence negating the point of having a wire core flipline.
I like Mortens suggestion of the short cut off strap and using the distel or vt knot , good ideas i shall be taking on board.
-
Use to be compulsory when used with wire core flipline at a well known utilities company. Could never get over the stupidity of this .
Rope grab far , far better and safer imo
sleep arbing
