i was really worried about it i told the vet i could here his claws clicking on the floor when walking around i think it must bug,em when there claws are long like me having big toe nails lol

A belt sander!!!! are you serious?? Sledge hammer to crack a nut and all that !!! :sneaky2:

  2. all done and worked out for the better he was fine very settled whilst i did it etc and he,s running up n down playing with his toys etc n just had him out for a good walk to he was running round more than ever like a goodun poor things worn out sat infront of fire asleep now

Its a stressfull thing for both dog and owner!!

  3. I leave my dogs dew claws alone as she needs them for climbing trees.

Have a look at some of the ' Treeing ' coonhounds from America, some of us on here will be astonished at their tree climbing ability no spiderjacks or hc's in sight.

Just nick points off nail and file with small halfround file or dremmel if you like, they dont like it but wont hate you forever

  4. I do have a passion for working dogs and am now involved with personal protection and security dogs and as soon as m bitch is 9 months old she will be on the pat dog scheme.

I just had my veiws changed to some of the barbaric things i did and witnessed.

    Eg.

  5. And where is the sport in that??]In my opinion the hunts are bad losers when they send the terriers in, once the fox has made it home then its game over end of!!! Also the day before the hunt go round blocking pots&outfalls, bridges and even filling badger sets in!!! And the sport in that is?? This is something I have SEEN and not heard! What a sad lot of people to get enjoyment and kicks out of that!

I think youve misread what waz was saying . He was saying it is purily pest control when the fox is dispatched under those circumstances, but you cried it sport... It is not and if people think it is they should find something else to do.

Alot of people on this thread seem to be giving out the impression the hounds can catch the fox, this is false and illegal , so either it gets shot by a marksman or the hounds must be called off.

u1000mog , I have witnessed stuff in other fieldsports that appauled me and would appaul you.

Arborist, I cant believe you were a whipper in to a beagle pack and dont still feel some passion for working hounds ?? :001_smile:

  6. The hunt called this morning and a man turned up this afternoon to mend the damage to the stone wall. Have said we will be informed of future events to avoid problems which is good. Neighbours black mare still with some leg damage and being stabled.

Dont know how your neighbour feels at the moment but there certainly would be no need for the hunt to inform me of future events . If that had been my horse there definetly would be a problem and a massive one at that.

  7. Or even think about using Aspen2. It comes premixed with the oil at 50-1, contains no ethanol and will not go stale. Also much better for the operators health. Visit the Aspen link on the left of the page for more info.

    Wait for it.......!

Yeah, you get a free forklift truck to pick it up and sat-nav to find your way home!! :001_tt2:

  8. christ where have you been looking for a house? the middle of melbourne? i might of found a room for $130 a week :001_tongue:

Not looking for a house Sam, the apartment was in South Bank i am told .

Wife is back out there working after the hols for a while and intends to get out a bit farther than the city centre. She said the botanical gardens were beautiful and the trees magnificent. :thumbup1:

  9. So the healthy ones get away then??

Their healthy if they get away from dogs 100%.

There is no gaurantee of this if shot at.

When it comes to humane pest control methods there is just no easy way round about it.

You have a right to be aggrieved at the attitude of some of the red coat brigade but i can gaurantee you it extends to ALL countrysports.

  10. Some food and houses are much more expensive than in the UK. LPG to use in vehicles was cheap. I found the tree shapes strange to normal here and when it goes dark.

    1 bed flat ( nothing special ) $435,000.. bottle cider $15. tin beans over$2.

    ice skating session $30.

Take plenty of money would be my advice !!

  11. Look on eBay and you can get a obd fault code reader for 20 notes. It will tell you the fault and allow you to reset the codes and management light. Born to trot give us a shout and you can see if my code reader will give you any fault codes

Thanks Guss , I'll pm you and see if your gadget can come up with anything.

  12. Our '03 warrior has done this since we bought it 6 years ago. What happens is that when you drop a gear to overtake or put alot of power on when towing for example all the crap seems to build up inside and the power drops and drops away until you eventually have to pull over and stop for a few minutes. When you restart the engine a pile of black smoke and debris plumes out the exhaust and the engine management light should go out.

Weve never managed to resolve it so cant tow anything which was one of the reasons we bought it in the first place .

Hope someone on here can provide an answer as it would provide some positive in what has been a huge mistake on my part but appreciate some on here like them.:001_smile:
