  2. Take some cash as most of the time the card machines lose signal if it's a dodgy reception area.
  3. Phoenix screen print in Trowbridge wilts. Good quality shirts not the usual crap!
  4. Load the van with big discounts please ;-)
  5. The police did successfully prosecute the ones that were ripping our name off.... Also got them for benefit fraud which was a bonus! We found putting a message on our web page explaining the fact another far from less reputable company has been using out name to carry out crap work helped
  6. For £100 it better come with a climber in it!

  13. I'm sure there was a stolen plant registrar on line a few years ago...don't know if it's still about??
  14. I managed a company and the local gypsies copied our name. They got shirts printed.... Then went into a hire shop we used and rented a mower, strimmer, chain saw. Disc cutters etc and took the lot. First we heard was when the police rocked up and tried to arrest my boss for ripping an oap to the time of £700 for a 10ft self set ash and a 3ft cypress!
  15. Just an update.. My court case was Wednesday,I pleaded guilty for speeding and not guilty for failure to notify the police of the driver. I did this by post as losing a days pay would only add to the large dent I was expecting in my wallet. So I got fined £75 and got 3 points! Which for what I was expecting a great result for me!
  16. Trying to prove anything here is the trouble, apparently they have no obligation to send out reminders to prove they have originally sent a notice in the first place.... Me not receiving a notice is no excuse, it's my fault!! Really I should be getting a bravery medal for exceeding 50 in a land rover!!
  17. Oh well as I said Sometimes you just get bitten!
  18. I can top that.... I have just this morning received a court summons for speeding in January!! I was doing 56 on a duel carriageway 50 zone! Which I don't mind the points or fine as I was 'making progress' My problem is, today is the first I've heard about it and I've got to attend court on the 6th of sept as I've failed to inform them who was driving!! Which is a bit hard when today is the first I heard of it!! So I spoke to them as soon as I opened the letter address to ms Wilkins not Mr Wilkins to find out what was going on! So they had sent out a fine at some point but I can genuinely say I never received it, as I would have paid up and taken the points no problem I've sent a guilty plea to the speeding but a not guilty plea for the failure to inform them of the driver!! Let's see what happens :-/ sometimes you just get bitten!
  19. Second Treelife, be prepared its a lot of work! which requires a lot of your time dedicated to it.
  20. I was refused a 5 day notice a few years ago on a 50ft knackered twin stemmed horse chestnut on the A40. The following weekend it failed across the road narrowly missing a poor lady sat in her car at the traffic lights (one stem to the front of her car and one to the rear blocking her in) After that I never got questioned again by the LA tree officer when I applied for 5 day noticed... I think they may have had a rollocking for that one.
  21. No worries, just thought I would mention it
  22. Years ago the company I was working for put me on a 1 day course on a Friday.. Then put me on a 3mile hedge laying job on the Monday!! It's cheap enough to learn through a local national trust house Also cheap to learn is dry stone walling... Very useful when dragging brash through gardens with crap dry stone wall that collapse when you look at them!!
  23. Hi Mike I'm trying to enter the shop on your website but I can't open the link! Just thought I would let you know just in case your missing a sale or two Leigh
  24. Find a good local nursery to get your stock, you need to look at the trees before you supply them to a client as some suppliers are shocking. Get decent trees to start with an you can charge more and not have the worry of them failing. Remember they are paying you for your ability to supply, plant and tree knowledge. Don't sell yourself short or get a reputation for supplying crap.
