  1. Going to look at that job I mentioned on Friday. Will get in touch when I know more. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?5s0u5e
  2. Hey Jennie, I know the braces are not so cool but they work a treat. I guess being a lady you may struggle to fing the perfect fit so perhaps a slightly larger waist with some funky orange braces will do the trick. Though I can see how you might be put off....
  3. So glad it's not going on a pit tip site, It would either be nicked, burnt or damaged! It's a pretty special thing!
  4. If possible use a hot pressure washer for the truck, and a product called propeller for tools and boots. Doesn't smell, hasn't done any damage that I can see used (on/off) for over a year. The Fc are happy with that as its what I've been doing on P, ramoram sites. Alex --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?v3ukur
  5. Wear the suite, they will instantly think you want the job especially if others don't. Also bringing your Ppe wether needed or not looks good but also make sure it's your good stuff and clean! Don't forget to tell them you have it. On another point re-read your cv and what you wrote on the application form. If they're big and using a scoring system then mention your examples from the job app again as they won't count unless you do. Also have some good questions prepared and ask about progression opportunities! Good luck! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?hay1zz
  6. £3.50 - £4.... Ha ha ha. Come and fell timber for me, Infact bring 20 of your mates and I'll sell my harvester! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?jt0tiu
  7. Who's your provider? I'm on the notts Derbyshire border and may be able to help! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?qr2bh2
  8. Is that thoresby hall? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?cnvlk5
  9. Hopker is doing some re-spacing on the Lowther estate.... Rich (logrover) is doing tonnage felling...... --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?40cfgc
  10. £1000 a week? 1987..... Did you snort your weight in nose candy every night and drink champagne like water? £120 a day will be plenty if your just a normal fella. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?qmzllj
  11. Depends where you are I guess. Down here there have been a few stands go for £28t standing. Get it to road side, put some profit on and........ £50t green 14ft logs. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?dm2ssk
  12. 14ft green logs £50t Chip £27t Other products could be fence posts, red logs/bars pallet wood etc. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?w0vcz3
  13. @ 18 years you've got atleast another 7 till its time to worry about thinning. Also, forget the chipper, let the brash brake down naturally. A reasonable 2nd hand dalen processor may set you back around 5k. Perhaps instead of a chipper a timber trailer with a crane might be more versatile. Have you got your local woodland officer out for a chat? Normally quite helpful folks. Good luck! I'm very jealous! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?rvfqg2
  14. Had something similar. Infact exactly the same. Make sure the thermostat has been put in the correct way round..... --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?vlrued
  15. No worries. Tell the forwarder to stay in the trees! That's what it's made for! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?mkyhav
  16. I'm on forest tracks alot. Unless your doing lots of towing or carrying loads of stuff get a small van. I went for a berlingo, has a fold away seat. Loads of room. Can tow 1050 gross (I think) 50mpg. Put some good tyres on too. You'll get a good one for around 3k and have money left over for extra locks, tow bars, ply lining trailer etc! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?pagxiu
  17. My plastic husky one has never worked, I left it on a radiator (in a tub) and tried all sorts to get it to work. The Oregon metal gun is really easy to use. Though it seems I might not need to grease the bar sprocket afterall! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?zsikl2
  18. I struggled with the husky one, I spent £11 for the Oregon one with 3 packets of grease. When you push down it should pump the grease out. So your thoughts are correct. Sounds like a faulty bit of kit to me! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?xxyzfn
  19. I'm going for the big metal box bolted to the floor method. Then have a chain welded into said box to go through handles of what's in box. The if you want put big dogs bed on top of said box........ --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?a4znlf
  20. Chips or rings? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?2ejwmj
  21. That's it I'm doing my climbing tickets! Bugger this Forestry lark!
  22. Pedroski, I've had panels put behind the windows, extra locks on all doors and will be bolting a tool safe in when it arrives next week. Just wondered what shop bought products people rate and don't rate. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?asacwp
  23. Had my jerry can pinched from almost empty van. So, what security products do you use to protect your vehicle? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?0zjg3w
  24. Which uni? I was at Newton rigg, I didn't rate the quality of the teaching. From what I hear it's got worse. I left after my placement but I will finish it part time elsewhere! It's always worth having the piece of paper. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?o15kwl
  25. So, it all comes down to a lack of knowledge and saussage factory style training. Yes you can carry more industry specific equiptment in your HSE kit if you deem it essential to your individual situation. R/A etc. RC trainer #2 who was observing today had the opinion of if you have it use it. You must have a HSE kit with an ISO number. That is all. No drugs etc though you can now carry out a seperate RA to carry asprin. If you wish to add extra dressings including celox and your R/A specifies a need the your ass is covered. Rupe, nope RC trainer #1 was of the opinion at work I should only have a hse approved kit and that is it. I'm not allowed to use anything else in the event of an accident. Even if it is by me on me.....
