  1. Right fellas, Hairy dieters on bbc2!
  2. So 20-50cm dbh? Really doesn't seem that exceptional. You'll be better prepared with an expected volume either ob or ub.
  3. Good point, there goes my naive trust in arb talkers. Ripped con artists, the lot of ya!
  4. Sounds good to me, I'm 6ft on the nose and 115kg, though I'll be kayaking again soon after 2 years out. though I think portion control and less rubbish would do it, heck I work hard enough during the day eah Tom?! So, we need some sort of table with targets. Some sort of handicap system and a teeny bit of competition to help with the momentum? All taking part chip in £5 and best slimmer (possibly a vote?) gets the reddies in the form of toy shop vouchers? Alex
  5. Call Tilhill, euro forest etc? Or buy a stand and act as the agent yourself?
  6. Seriously, pigs. If you've got the time. They'll eat the lot so once your freezer is full you can level and seed as paddock. If not for you then a good mulching.
  7. I've just done 600m of road deveg today with a large bobcat, it really does pile up infront of you. Though it depends on the quality of the end result that your client wants. I'm sure a boxer would get there but I think for 10k of road you're looking at 3 days with a good machine. Plus the roller. If you're using a boxer, Blimey. It could take weeks either loosing the op money or costing so much the client faints. It sounds like a job for a proper grader IMO. Offer to experiment for a day. If you do go with the boxer a 4:1 bucket with a replaceable leading blade is what you'll be wanting.
  8. You'll want something a little more substantial than a boxer, you'll also need to put a vibrating roller on it once de-veged if your running vehicles on the road.

    bars.......

Rich, my 325 husky bar lasted 4 months whilst I was harvesting. I've not used anything else so can't really compare. I find the paint wears pretty quickly. I just put it down to the more frequent dressing it gets compared to arb stuff. Are your nose sprockets exploding or is it just your cutting so much to feed your Husky and you getting through the chains too? Alex
  10. Hi Dominic, you just need to be able to get yourself to site. All kit needed is supplied. Can you pm me your experience with regards to mechanical weeding. Same for you Alan, sites vary as can your rates per ha. Give me examples and a price per ha. Then we can work from there. Thanks, Alex
  11. You'll need this ticket! http://www.ntu.ac.uk/apps/pss/course_finder/73679-1/8/NPTC_BrushcutterTrimmer_Short_Course.aspx#howtoapply --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?xhom24
  12. Oh, work is in north notts and Lincolnshire. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?lkgwnp
  13. I've been asked to clear 27ha of forestry restock of non crop plants. All kit provided but you will need experience and be able to work safely and to a high standard. Please pm ha rates. Thanks. Alex --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?0zltki
  14. It's in south Yorkshire, price was tried with no mention of a 24hour shipment from Germany. I guess I'll put this down to experience. Thanks for the help guys. A --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?qovpue
  15. Thanks mike, was hoping there might be an odd one lurking in the uk. Not bothered with size etc yet as I doubt there are many folks with a spare one laying around so I don't want to discourage any one. Germany's a bit far for now. I'm hoping to keep it off of a low loader. Have a peak at the opening post, that was explained, to a point there.... --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?lu4djq
  16. Usual places tried, can't find one. Practical suggestions please. If you have one let me know and we'll see if it's the right one. Thanks. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?lsmx0o
  17. But that's only 15 guests working on the available wine. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?wvgmva
  18. As good as, the tools I use to earn my living and pay my mortgage. I've got the opportunity and tools to do it with so with a 13t 360 it took half a day to create a level surface and earth bund around it. Then a further half day for welding work. Not a huge job and looks good. The plating around the locks stops them being cut but essentially it's only to slow the thieving ***** gits down as if they want it they'll get it! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?a2kkqy
  19. I dug mine into the ground, small ramp down and used the spoil to cover the roof, rear and sides. You have to leave the door exposed but a bit of hardened steel plate for lock protection and a secondary door on the inside with a site safe for smaller tools which is welded to the ground with chains to hold the larger objects. Can't do much else but it's everything I can do to slow them down. A few big flood lights and motion sensors to wake the pooch is about as good as it gets. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?yi0vr2
  20. The product is too young to be of any value, unless you're the type to get pleasure out of making your own fence posts I'd leave it. Unless you can get wig support. You'd need masses of timber to make it commercially viable.... Find your local Nptc trainer/accessor and let them use it for training then get it felled for free. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?kpd4y5
  21. Same as above, I've got an 05 2.0 berlingo with snow/mud tyres for when the goings tough and it's great. I get 550 miles for £65 worth of derv. It's got a handy fold up bench seat which takes up no extra room but is pretty comphy. It's not long clocked. 200k..... Small vans are the way forwards unless a bigger truck returns a profit. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?plnikf
