  2. Hey guys sorry to bring up an oldish post but thought you might be interested in an update! I got a phone call earlier in the week from their area manager to offer me the job!!!! well happy and thanks to all you guys who posted the advise!! I hope this thread can help others! I certainly felt a lot more confident with a smart shirt and tie. Thanks again

They have asked me back for a second interview which is hopefully promising, the job is better than I thought and I hope I have “sold” my self enough to get the position!! Really appreciate all the feedback guys – @ Andy Collins I hope this thread can be helpful for others too, especially the times we are in, a job is really precious its not just hard work and Qualifications that will cut it!! You have to be a whole package that can be flexible, presentable and enthusiastic! Good luck to anyone trying to find a job!
  6. I have tried my hardest to get my Stihl pants under my smart trousers and they are not having it!! oh well will have to just hide them in the nearest phone box!!

  8. @ Treebeard there was a job in Vancouver going on Arbjobs about a month ago for uk workers! They stated that they would sort all visas and everything else for you! Might be too late now but have a look and get in contact can`t hurt? I was in Vancouver and BC last year was absoloutly beautiful! could live there myself!!
  9. Cheers guys really appreciate the comments!! I think my current employer has completely demotivated my interest in Arboriculture, and a fresh start is what I need! Love the site and should be more involved, as I have a huge passion for the industry and Trees!! yeah I think I will wear a shirt and tie! defiantly something smart. @Mozza I was thinking of offering myself for a practical as I have the whole day anyway, nothing was mentioned about practicals! Thought I would be prepared for all possibilities
  10. Hi Thanks for that, when I got the phone call it seemed really relaxed and informal! so I suppose it questioned wether a suit was needed? Although it wont hurt to be suited
  11. Hi Guys I have this interview tomorrow with a utility company, which seems relaxed and informal, so thinking normally I would wear a suit to a job interview? But now thinking maybe I should go in clean Arbo gear ready to do practical if needed? Would like some “expert” opinions? Cheers in advance!!
