    Stihl ms193t

I have had one for a couple of months now. it came to £360 all in delivered from Poland. When I first got it it was really slow to pick up revs, but after about 15 tanks of fuel it fly's through wood and is now my favourite saw. I would say it is a better compromise than the MS150 as it is quite happy to keep cutting up to the length of its bar with a hardly noticeable weight difference.
  2. They are great, but I wouldn't buy one unless you need it for a specific contract, as your always going to need a different mewp for different jobs.
  3. If someone is willing to give away a harness I personally wouldn't want to climb in it. Have a look on ebay you can get a new weaver for £110 from fletcherstewart
  4. I bought a plug in tuning box for my ldv maxus as it was a bit underpowered. It helps acceleration quite a bit and doesn't judder as much when I pull off with a heavy load, but it doesn't really help mpg as you are using more fuel. LDV MAXUS DIGITAL PERFORMANCE DIESEL TUNING BOX CHIP | eBay One of these
  5. I have just ordered a new one of these from Poland. Will post up a review when I get it:001_smile:
  6. Yea that kept the farmers happy for a while, I've got plenty of free tip sites now:biggrin: [ame] [/ame] weighs over 2 ton though
  7. I would get at a Bandit 75 if I was looking for something over 750kg.
  8. Well Orange plant have pulled through this time. one of the service guys took the initiative and took the part of one of there own machines so I didn't have to wait for a new one to be delivered. At least some of them are helpful.
  9. I would personally get on with it. Never managed to hurt a conifer with it being cold and they are going to be full of pigeon nests until about September.
  10. The technicians themselves were very helpful and came round and tried to fix it while they were there, but it is down to the management to sort out a machine for me while they have mine.
  11. Its not as if it it is costing them £100 a day as they have plenty of machines sat around. If they just asked me to pay to cover a checking over, sharpening the blades fuel etc I would be fine with that. They said they could do me a discounted hire and let me have an old timberwolf 150 for only £95 + vat a day when its only 100 anyway, that's really helping me out! I think i'll contact Greenmech to see if they find this satisfactory customer service.
  12. This is the second time in 4 months my new Greenmech Arborist 150 has had to go back to Orange plant. 1st time it had a faulty alternator cable (sounds simple but took them 3 days to discover this, they originally thought it needed a new alternator and asked me to pay them £550 just incase it wasn't covered in the warranty!) This time the Hydraulic Pump has packed up causing the rollers to not work. This in itself is inconvenient but my main problem is that I then have to pay full wack to hire a chipper from the dealer while they wait a few days for the parts and them getting round to fixing it. at £120 a day that soon starts getting expensive. Bearing in mind it costs more than a lot of new cars I was expecting them to be more helpful than that.
  13. Yes my brother will do it. Pm me the details and i'll get him to give you a call.
  14. Hi Dogman I have a Rock machinery stumpmaster 2 Briggs and Stratton engine grinder for sale. I have upgraded to a bigger machine now I am getting more stump grinding work. Bought it last April for £1800 Looking to get £1000 for it. Greg
  15. You can get SIP innovations in long leg too.
  16. Another vote for the 211, a 150 is going to struggle cutting along the grain.
  17. Unless it has a TPO I would just go for a heavy reduction to leave yourself in the clear, and charge accordingly.
  18. I have an Iveco Daily double cab for sale, was going to put it on ebay at the weekend. Mechanically sound but the tipper body is of an older vehicle and has some corrosion. Pm me if your interested, looking for around £2500
  19. I have a stihl HT101 4 mix nearly 3 years old and runs like new. Maybe I've just been lucky.

    Makita DC9010

I have one, it came with a design fault as the exhaust port touched the chain brake and melted through it. The new parts took so long to come in I ended up having to buying a stihl MS441 to finish off the job:001_rolleyes:
  21. a garden rake fits in the hole to turn the drum
  22. worst chipper I have ever used. My old gravity fed Entec chipped faster.
  23. You would be better off getting a price for the job, day rate doesn't mean a lot as it depends what size chipper and truck etc they are bringing to the job.
